I see, in other words WeaponColor = FG markings (index 0, 1, 2,...) It's the same technique used for referencing the 6 Red Squardon X-wing textures in one model. :-) Also, the IFF side determines which laser.opt file(s) is loaded by game engine. So having additional FG's colors for those .opt models...

You can also easily make the asteroids targetable and destroyable by changing two values in BHE or with MXvTED4.1 editor. Don't recall at the moment. :-)

Interesting idea. There are extra laser slots that are available that are not necessarily even being used by engine. Adding different "FG" colors to lasers can be done now, but accessing them is the key question. It would provide more options for different shades of colors and so forth. I've been to...

Thanks Jeremy! Driftwood, use "Size = 65536" in Hook_Opt_Limit.cfg, there's no going back and it won't hurt anything that already exists. :-) I believe you select one mesh in the list by holding your control key and then click on the other mesh(es) to highlight it/them and then click the merge butto...

Brilliant. Then low level LOD's become more relevant to offset high poly count meshes.

Hi Jeremy, wanted to clarify the vertice possibilities. Assume an .opt model is maxed out at 50 meshes (not including low LOD meshes). If I set the hook_opt_limit.cfg file to "Size = 32768" does that mean "each" mesh can have up to a maximum of 32,768 vertices ? If not, what would be limits per any ...

Saxman, an off-topic question for you; since the vertice-to-mesh limitation is not an issue anymore, do you think it's more probable your E-Wing modeling project could be playable under the XWA engine?
