Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story

It's an escape ship according to the toys, not an auxiliary craft like the Phantom.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story

That being said...WTF did they do the the YT-1300? Well knowing Lando, he probably prefers it looking nicer then Han does (Plus you know, his "What did you do to my ship?" line in ESB, so obviously something happened to it between Han winning it and then) The front of it is an escape ship according...

Looks great! Not sure where I'm going to be able to fit it in but I'll figure it out! Also disney needs to fire whoever is writing these back-stories, next thing you know the s-foils will be there because the x-wing wanted to look like a pretty dragonfly or something...

I like the changes, makes the ship look more Imperial/Republic. The organic/curvy look didn't fit the rest of the fleet IMO

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

Comparing Canon universe and Legends continuity I see there is a huge discrepancy about the date the Immobilizer 418 Interdictors were first manufactured: 14 BBY according to the new Canon universe, 2 BBY according to the old Legends continuity. Shouldn't it be the other way around? 2 BBY in new ca...

Re: The E-wing Is Back

The Victory Class is canon, there just hasn't been any been any visual media of it yet, it's only been 'seen' in text, mentioned in the 'Tarkin' novel.

Re: Tector-class Star Destroyer

The Tector is a weird ship, there is a shot in ROTJ where the Falcon flies over an upside down Star Destroyer that has the forward hangar sealed, the main hangar replaced with greeble and the reactor core removed.

And for some reason the EU, and now the Canon decided to make it a separate ship.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story

Apparently Lawrence Kasdan had been signed on to write a Han film since before Disney bought LucasFilm News Report Even before Lucasfilm was sold to Disney in 2012, launching a renaissance of galactic storytelling, Lawrence Kasdan had signed on to put together a Han Solo-centric movie. Then he was b...

Re: "Chatnoir"?

The references Wookieepedia reports about the length of the Home One in the Legends continuity are completely illogical. In the "MC80 Home One type Star Cruiser" section it's written that some individual ships are longer than 1400 meters and the reference drives to Episode VI, but in the "Home One"...

Another? I didn't know there were others.

Also George was on the set for a day with this one and even suggested a change to the scene they were shooting. Him and Ron Howard are old friends.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story

Star Wars has never had a big following in China, so it's not about general brand confidence, just the Chinese market. This is just the Falcon before Han modified it. Lando or someone else probably owns it at this point and they probably like it looking nice and shiny. Lando certainly seems like the...

Re: "Chatnoir"?

The Databank link Wookieepedia gives is canon, not legends. So the 1,200 meters is correct. The MC80 as far as I can tell was purpose built, not a converted ship in the new canon. However some of the Mon Cal ships are converted from other purposes, some being City Ships/buildings and of course, crui...

Re: The E-wing Is Back

Speaking of EU ships becoming canon again, this is a couple years old, but the Kanan comic brought back the HWK-290 which made me happy. For those who don't know ship classes off the top of their heads, that's the class of ship the Moldy Crow from Dark Forces 1 and 2 is. A recent book also brought b...

This looks like it is meant to be a successor to the Nebulon-B, but I don't like it. Too blocky.

This design is new, though the engines appear to be based off the Blockade Runner.

You'll be happy to know it plays very little like Battlefield.

People have been ripping the models from the beta which I've been collecting. So if anyone wants references, I can provide a list of ships.
