Re: Cannot Create New Pilot

Tried in this way and it works. Thanks, Jeremy. Then I've uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game + DSUCP v2.5, and now I can create new pilots in both ways. I'm currently trying to re-do all the edits I did, I mean installing new crafts and editing pilots with XWA Piloteer, to find what caused t...

I forgot to write I installed the new Nebulon-B Redemption, the Liberator CR90 Corvette, the Firespray, XQ5 Platform and Pinook fighter before trying to create the 4th pilot.

Cannot Create New Pilot

I currently have GOG 18061 X-Wing Alliance v2.02 with DSUCP v2.5 installed, already have 3 pilots and I found I cannot create a new one. I select "Create New Player", write the name of the new pilot, but when I click "OK" the X-Wing Alliance Launcher gets immediately closed. Did anybody experience t...

Re: TIE Shuttle's true form

TIE/sh VIP shuttle is essentially a TIE/sa bomber without the warhead launchers. It also has more basic sensor systems since it's not designed to be deployed in battle. I don't understand why Captain Lorth Needa used such a trivial craft to travel from ISDII Avenger to SSD Executor. The Empire owns ...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story

The containers on the 20-T Railcrawler conveyex transport definitely look similar to A-type Containers from X-Wing Alliance Upgrade.
This might be an idea for new container textures in the future.

Re: X-Wing Alliance Fan Films

I really liked the cockpit of the Star Wing gunboat in Star Wars: Corvette Attack. Simple and old fashion style, I mean XvT style, but with sensors displaying the actual form of the nearby crafts. Craft dimension displayed on sensors also depends on the distance, so the gunboat on the left is bigger...

Re: Nebulon-B Frigate redone

This is a great update! Just installed the Medical version to see FRG Redemption blown to space dust. Only 1 question: is it possible to have different texts in the tech library for each of the 4 versions? I have the Medical version with no hangar, but the library still says: "it has its own complem...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

You could argue my reasons lead to conclude Mission #18: The Death Star Trench Run is simply the hardest mission to complete, not the hardest Gold medal to earn, but this mission also has the third highest enemies destroyed/time ratio (0,182 kills/s) after Mission #11: Battle above Taloraan (0,214 k...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

Even if you are keeping your s-foils closed, there are simply too many ways you can die in Mission #18: The Death Star Trench Run. The trench is full of turbo laser turrets and TIE fighters (a quantity never seen in any missions before), and you also risk colliding with the surface when turning. The...

Re: Galactic Battlegrounds Heaven

I don’t know if this is the right topic to ask about a problem I have with a mission of the Imperial campaign in Galactic Battlegrounds. I haven’t played this game for ages (of Empires) until yesterday, when I decided to download it from GOG and give it a try again. I began Darth Vader’s campaign an...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

Mission #12: Escape from Fest is by far the hardest Silver medal in Rogue Squadron for the reasons you’ve just listed, but my top 5 hardest Golds were: 5) Mission #9: Rescue on Kessel 4) Mission #12: Escape from Fest 3) Mission #11: Battle above Taloraan 2) Mission #15: Moff Seerdon’s Revenge 1) Mis...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

Rescue on Kessel can be tricky because you need to kill every enemy including some slightly out of the way transports at the beginning. And your X-Wing is not loaded with Proton Torpedoes. And you cannot select a different craft. And you can’t afford to lose more than 1 wing-mate. Definitely 1 of t...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

There is also another factor to consider when flying the V-wing to earn a Gold medal: the accuracy loss due to rapid fire mode.
I can usually handle this problem by sparing my cluster missiles for TIEs, and using rapid lasers only against bunkers and those hard-to-destroy AT-STs.

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

As for earning Gold medals, my feeling is that difficulty works in a completely different way: in Rogue Squadron going for Gold gets harder as you progress through the game, whereas in Battle for Naboo this logic doesn’t apply. I mean earning Gold in Ambush at Mos Eisley is a piece of cake, but goin...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

I have the impression that Rogue Squadron and Battle for Naboo were designed with 2 different visions of difficulty. In both games missions become harder to complete as you progress, but for different reasons: in Battle for Naboo Mission #15: Battle for Naboo is surely more complex than Mission #1: ...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

A huge difference between Rogue Squadron and Battle for Naboo is the accuracy required to earn Gold/Platinum. In Battle for Naboo you usually need 70%-80% accuracy to get the Platinum, and though it seems a daunting requirement, it can be done provided that you don’t waste ammo on purpose (well, 89%...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

You did very well. Earning Gold medals in missions from 9 (RESCUE ON KESSEL) to 15 (MOFF SEERDON'S REVENGE) of Rogue Squadron is way harder than getting Gold in any mission of Battle for Naboo. In Battle for Naboo you can earn a Gold medal in each mission the first time you complete it. I mean you d...

Re: Battle for Naboo - Platinum Medals

As for earning the Gold medal in MISSION 16: BATTLE OF CALAMARI, it’s way simpler than in the previous mission. GOLD REQUIREMENTS COMPLETION TIME: 5:30 ENEMIES DESTROYED: 24 ACCURACY: 25% FRIENDLY SAVES: 87 BONUS: 0 Plenty of time to destroy 24 enemies, so you don’t need to “sacrifice” a V-wing. It’...
