I just hope those graphics are still beta. While I love the nostalgia I'd be slightly miffed if we had to pull up an AS Upgrade project ...

Interesting that the Lucas Arts Logo is at the bottom of the page.

Wondering if we'll have a cockpit view... Some pictures suggest a gameplay similar to the space combat on SW: Battlefront 2... Can´t complain much being free and all but I really miss a new X-Wing game... And while we'll probably see them later, points to them for not throwing prequel fighters at us right on the teaser... :)

If I had to guess they might use the same graphics engine as SWTOR, at least from the look of it.

That's one of those games where they get the chance to do a lot right *dramatic pause* or a far greater lot wrong ... *forboding music*

They're probably building it on unity.

Hmm, been working with Unity from time to time...

@Marcos: True but I do see a wrecked Lucrehulk in the screenshots ...

Just played it. Crashed over 5 times in about 15 minutes. Was fun though... I miss multiplayer XWA...

Just tried it out for the first time. It was nice to look at, but I hated the controls. They won't let you use a joystick that I can see and the pitch orientation is reversed from what I'm used to with XWA and other flight sims.

So far, I'm not impressed.

I haven't tested this beta version so I can't commit on it. Looks to be a free-online game with limited abilities unless one subscribes $ monthly, for better ship-career advancement and access to other things--perhaps expanded missions/campaigns etc. But this is an interesting quick article I read today and if the picture is a true snapshot of the game, then that's what I call "movie quality" graphics:

Here you have a gameplay:

Well, Ithink It is more likely to Rogue Squadron than to XWA

And that's it. The game's been cancelled.

Being honest, I'm not the least surprised.

I think that we´re all expecting a X-Wing Alliance remake. But despite our best efforts like promoting this fan page and sign petitions I think it´ll never happen =(

I really would like to gather players for enjoy online battles. Me and my friends are making a last effort that you can see in my previous topic.

I hope it works =)

See ya!

Well, let's just hope that Elite:Dangerous and Star Citizen will both be huge successes. Maybe that will finally convince some big CEO that it's worth investing into. I just hope that if they do, the understand what will make those two successful. (Meaning they'll grab someone who was involved in the original games)

The game was okay...but the game crashed so much it was frustrating. It was more like an alpha version then a beta.
