It will be only "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". No Episode VII in the title!

I know they are completely ignoring the old EU (now Legends) but I really hope the whole 'Luke went missing for 30 years after the Battle of Endor' is just a rumor... :hilfe:

By the end of the film if that rumour is true, he'll probably wake up in a shower and the 2 hours you've just been watch was all a dream lol

When I first heard of the title I felt "meh" about it. To me it sounds more like a name for a comic book. If we think about it though, the name could mean a few different scenarios.

The Force Awakens..
Emperor Palpatine? Maybe he's been resurrected or cloned somehow.
Leia? Remember Yoda's comment "There is another."
The Solo kids? Ben?

Only time will tell though. Looking forward to it. I do hope the 'Luke going missing for 30 years' plot is a rumor.

Very excited to see the trailer. I noticed the X-Wings have blue paint on them, so perhaps we're looking at Blue Squadron? It was great to see the Falcon and TIEs again. The Falcon looks to have a new communications dish. The X-Wings do look a bit different, I wonder if the TIEs are any different. Only thing I was disappointed in was not seeing Luke, Han or Leia.

The X-Wings have redesigned engines and rear fuselage.

There's a video with JJ Abrams standing beside one.

Anybody notice Tie Fighters now have white wings with black trim and two red lights near where the green lasers traditionally were ?
New star destroyer with the bridge sections redesigned. Interesting too, an ISD-II and a SSD both crashed in a desert... perhaps as fallen debris from Battle of Endor (on Endor) "30 years" ago, or Tatooine ? Looks at least, to be a fast paced movie.

B/t/w, notice Mark Hamill saying... "the force is strong in my family. My father has it, I have it, my sister has it.... you have that power too." Implies he could be talking to his son/daughter or Leia's offspring in this movie. But who knows. Teasers can be misleading.

Well wookiees are a long-lived species.

As for the offspring, bet it's John Boyega's character, happened that night when Leia hooked up with Lando :D

The planet isn't Tatooine, it is called Jakku.

the new Battlefront game will have free DLC covering the battle that caused all those crashed ships you see.

Apparently the new X-wing variant was designated T-70.

Still not a fan of the scissoring wing. I much prefer the X-wing Classic.

Me too, but it still looks cool, unlike all the crappy fighters in the prequels.

Why couldn't they have made this movie back in 99 when they were supposed to. :kopfwand:

Didn't realize it was a SSD... Could it spark another SSD size debate? :D

The Tie fighter fireing in the hangar is different. It looks larger, without the tradinoal window...

Yeah, at first I thought it was the rear of the new TIE, but in the shot of the TIE chasing the Falcon, it has the same rear as the OT ties.

Maybe a different variant? it also appears to have a turret mounted underneath.

Well I couldn't help but do a quick size comparison with the XWAU Falcon and the 17.6km XWAU SSD. Seems about right, compared to the trailer

Looks glorious. I find it amusing though that the Empire gives out fancy new armor, fancy new blasters, makes fancy new Star Destroyers but keeps those absolutely useless standard TIE Fighters. :lachtot:

I don't mind the new X-Wing, since it's just a more advanced version with a few minor detail changes. I found that TIE Pilot interesting though. In particular the red on his outfit. Could that be 181st Pilot? :D
