Slightly on topic for the T-70, the laser sound they used in the movie almost sounds like the Slave-1 blaster sound from AOTC

I don't think so. We only hear it once, briefly, as it's in the middle of shredding a TIE fighter, but it sounds like it's the traditional "Rebel" laser sound. The blasts striking the TIE in front of it masks it a bit, but you can hear it.

Also are you doing the Black/Charcoal and Orange variant?
I'm running DSCUP and this craft causes my game to crash upon mission load. Not sure why but it's a bummer since I very much want this to replace the standard x-wing.

Edit: My bad. Completely my bad. I should have double checked the opt & cockpit tabs in mxvted. The shp file has them as T70X-Wing, which doesn't match the file name. I edited the entries to match & voila! Works!

All I can say is that this ship rocks! Love it!

Downloading the opt now.
Does it include the Hi-Res textures? If so ill give that a test.
It should work as I have XWAUP installed.

Trev

Ah, ok, so it says in your readme that its the hi-res version.

It looks awsome, however, the exterior opt seems to crash the hangar.
I replaced it with the xwingexterior.opt and it worked again.
But the cocpit is very cool.
Oh I so wish XWA supported Environment Mapping (shiny textures)

Hey guys, have a bit of an issue. Followed the directions in the Readme, changed the names in MXvTED for the proper .opts, but when I'm in game, the lasers are all zero'd to the center of the ship (firing out the nose) and the cockpit is way too far forward. Can someone give me the proper MXvTED values for weapons and the cockpit? Or maybe point out something obvious that I must have missed while installing this craft.

I'm not sure why some of you are having problems with this opt, I'm not that skilled on the tecnical aspects of the game. It works perfectly for me, make sure you have Jeremyas patches enabled.

I'm working on a small update for the T-70 coming soon.

Aside from the Directdraw .dll, which patch are you referring to? I tried searching for it in the forums but I can't find anything. Also, good job on the Black Leader recolor, that looks awesome.

The patches are if I remember correctly installed with the latest XWAUCP, the XwaExePatcher can also be found in the download section.

I think he is referring to the patch that "removes textures size limit".

Looks great...

Can I ask what it's stats will be? I assume it's a slight improvement over the T-65 X-Wing?

It's faster and a bit stronger than the T-65. You definitely feel like you're more properly matched (either overmatched or outpaced) against TIE Interceptors.

According to the SHP file she does about 110 MGLT.

However AFAIK there's no official specs yet.

I noticed that, seemed like a dozen.

Although they might not be the high-payload ones on the original X-Wing, or missile tech may have advanced so that you can mount a bigger payload in a smaller warhead.

Is there any information yet on whether those tabs along the trailing edge are supposed to be ID tabs as in the original film?

Chart here: http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogallery ... rected.jpg

If they are, they really made it unclear how those are actually supposed to be read. Every single X-wing in TFA has three blue tabs and two gray tabs on each wing, while Poe's X-wing just confuses things FURTHER with three orange and two gray.
