There was a new teaser for the trailer released today, and wow lots of space ships, including a couple that we've only seen in the animated shows before.

https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comme ... ler_tease/

So hyped for the full trailer later tonight.

OK let's see...
There's the Ghost (or at least a ship of the same class), just right behind the Falcon
Behind the Falcon there's a Hammerhead Corvette
There seems to be a Nebulon-B-ish Frigate on the far right and what looks like a Corellian Gunship just above it(another one on the left side).
That flat ship below the Falcon looks like the big Freighter Han was commandeering in TFA.
Something that could pass as a old Trade Federation Core Ship. That's about all I can identify atm.

As the image pans down there are some smalelr ships in the background that might as well be from Star Trek XD

The Falcon's got a new round dish :)

~2 more hours to go. Need to sleep....

There's a Pelta class from Clone Wars/Rebels at the very top middle of the shot.

I'm not sure they those are Gunships, they have Consular class bridges, but what looks like CR-90 style engines. Might be a new design.

Love the combination of that fleet. Ships from the Prequels, TCW, Rebels, Rogue One, OT, Sequels, all coming together to fight the First Order. Fitting finale.

Looking at it again it could be the adaption of a very old blockade runner design, which would later turn out as the Gunship.

BTW there's a ship with a wide, CR90-like bow. That could actually be (inspired by) a Defender-class Corvette from SWTOR, though it looks much bigger, at lest 3 times the size judging by the window in the front.

The trailer looks epic!

That shot also has what looks like at least three variants of a MC-75 design.

Personal thought, but those scenes with the Star Destroyer fleet look absolutely gorgeous.

The fleet reminds me a bit of the army of light fleet gathered to confront the Shadows and Vorlons. Anything that can fly....

I was reminded of Mass Effect 3's final battle.

BTW, that last shot of Rey standing before what seems to be Palpatine with some sort of apparatus attached to him. You can only see the cowl but it's quite recognizable. I've read theories that it might be means to keep him alive, kinda like he did with Vader or how Maul improvised his legs before getting proper ones from Talzin.

Edit: I just checked out one of the various trailer analyses: Just noticed hat at the end, the word "Always" is spoken by Leia. Now this may be a long shot, but from way the voice is modulated - similar to Luke's, who started the sentence, it could be implied she's speaking as a force ghost....

BTW, the German sync they chose for Palpatine, Erich Ludwig, is awesome. The original by now deceased VO actor, sounded like a creepy old man, pretty much as Ian McDiarmid did in ROTJ. Now as he refined his voice throughout the prequels, he sounds really menacing and epic. This new sync just has the same effect over the original. Thumbs up!

I just saw that Carlist Rieekan is alive post-TLJ. I wonder if that means he’ll be in the movie too.

On a Spoilery sidenote.

with Jedi: Fallen Order out I guess it‘s now canon that Starkiller Base was indeed the planet Ilum, as many have suspected, and the huge trench was basically the result of the Empire stripmining the planet for kyber crystals.

Interesting, I never really was curious enough to do the research on the location so this answer is appreciated.

The trench was first mentioned in the 2016 Ahsoka novel, but this is the first time we've had a visual depiction of it.

The Story Group still won't confirm it though, even with all the information that's come out since TFA. The most they'll say is "It does look similar, doesn't it?"

I'm not sure why they're against just confirming it. Unless they can't actually say it until an actual story outright says it in words.

An episode of the Resistance cartoon showed us a bunch of Starkiller design test planets

I read back at the start of November a representative for Denis Lawson stated he was reprising his role as Wedge for The Rise of Skywalker. I just checked his imdb page and nothing is listed. Doing a google search brought up some results stating a co-writer said he couldn't comment on the subject. I really hope Wedge is back. It would make sense, as the book Resistance Reborn which ties into TROS, Wedge is on the cover.

This is going to be one long week.

I’ve read Resistance Reborn. Wedge and Corellia are both major parts of the novel’s storyline.

Was almost tempted to get it, but seeing how I have the others, I think I'll just complete the collection :D
