I suppose the model is a different one, too. Opposed to the original EP2 Delta-7 the one in the series has the R2 unit right in front of the cockpit, while the original had it on the side.
Not sure what other differences there are.

Wookiepedia says the main difference is the position of the R2 unit. It has the same cannons and everything else. My guess is the only real reason for the Delta-7B model is so they could use the full droid, as opposed to just the dome or whatever. I'm not really sure how the whole thing fit, but I believe the Delta-7s were the only ships I know of that used a droid but you couldn't really use the ENTIRE droid for it... Not sure how Obi-Wan kept and used his in both... but whatever.General_Trageton wrote:I suppose the model is a different one, too. EDIT: Reading up on the Original Delta-7 (also in Wookiepedia), that was the case. The had to modify the droids to fit into the original, while both the Delta-7B and the Eta-2 could handle the entire droid.
Reading it also reminded me of not only my toy of the Delta-7, but of the Plo Koon modifications to it to have breakaway panels. That was the only Delta-7 series that was actually different in weapons/stats (Anakin's ship not counted). Now, the panels themselves would be impossible for this game, but the ship after the panels were removed would be quite possible.
If by chance, DTM, or anyone else for that matter, ever decide to model the modified one after the breakaway panels are removed, while it's not perfectly matching the real thing, I could submit pictures of my toy. I'm sure one or more of you have it, but whatever.
As for this ship (which I can't believe I forgot to comment on in the original post), simply beautiful. You captured it wonderfully. Keep it up! ^_^
