i cant get it work on XP

after intro it says "joystick not detected game will not work properly" .after i click ok it returns to desktop. i installed 2.02 and tried all compability modes but no difference. can someone help please..

As DS said, it is listed as a requirement on the game's box to have a joystick.

Joysticks are hardly expensive these days, you can get a cheap Saitek Cyborg or Logitec stick for peanuts if you look around and they'll do the job well enough.
