While using a custom resolution via XWA Hacker my map screen gets all messed up, mainly the grid. Tried 1366 x 768 and 1680 x 1050 (on a different system). Is there a known fix for this that I'm missing or can't anything be done about this?

There might be yet another scale factor like for the HUD hidden somewhere...
That might be possible to confirm by figuring out how exactly it gets "messed up" at different resolutions.
Also, if possible it would help if this happens in general or possibly only with the new ddraw dll (though I realize this might be hard to test) - since you're the first to notice (or at least report) it that might in fact be likely.
I admit I (almost) never use the map really, so I wouldn't have noticed it either way.
But I don't think there's a solution to it available right now.

Not exactly but it's also related to your ddraw.dll. Can't reproduce the issue without it. Deactivation antialiasing and anisotropic filtering didn't change anything. The problem does not occur when I'm using one of the preset resolutions (1024x768). Using the disc version of XWA, your latest ddraw.dll and a Nvidia GT 520M. I tried running XWA via my Intel 2000 integrated graphics but taht didn't change anything either

I have attached a screenshot.

Edit: Hmm, imgur isn't working for me right now, uploaded the screenshot as an ZIP.

I tested with a resolution of 1366x768. This problem occurs and also the starfield issue.

Tell me if there's anything I should do from xwahacker side (info, fixes, hacking more parts of the engine), but it sounds like you'll try to look into it from the ddraw.dll side.

Tested some more custom resolutions:
  • 1360 x 768: Same problem
  • 1280 x 720: Fine
  • 1024 x 600: Fine
Can test some higher resolutions on my other system tomorrow.
