figured i'd ask here while i have your attention, thank you fro the responses. when installing the dynamic cockpits there's an option along the lines of "i dont need the hud". is that referring to the purple hud that hugs the border of the screen regardless of where you're looking?
edit: got it worked out proper.. also up and running in my HTC Vive, and its looking good. Thanks for the help and clearing things up!
It's Awesome ya'll are out here doing this.

Hello,
Uninstalled everything.
Re-installed XWA from Steam, Tested working
Re installed XAWUP tested not working
Reinstalled Containers Tested working
Installed other OPTS and tested working.
Installed backdrops, lighting etc working
installed cockpits last working.
So yeah..
No more hang ups..
Thanks for your help.
Please mark as solved

Man this thread was a lifesaver. I was even recording my reinstall and play attempt to be all "Look, I followed all the steps and this is crashing on mission load!" But just installing XWAUPC and then that ContainerPack_v4.1.exe worked like a charm. Game looks a damned sight better than its original "vanilla" mode if I do say so myself. At least so far it's working during the campaign mode. I'm still doing stuff at the Azzameen's station before you get to that rebel concourse. But it was initially crashing loading into a mission and now I just played through a whole one.
Bang up job on this! Definitely breathed some life back into this classic!
