I only play when a new OPT is released by XWAU or a new mission is released by Abolisher. Then I'll play around for 30 min or an hour with an OPT. Or until I finish the campaign, if it's missions. And then it goes back in the drawer til the next new thing.
God I wish they'd give us a new game...

Not very often! Mostly I just test the new OPTs, watch them in the Tech Room and in a quick skirmish!
When new missions are released I download 'em of course, but I don't play them very often.
I more like to edit the game in the moment!

I try to play it as often as there's a new opt/xwaup patch out and sometime else.

I usually try to play at least once every week or so, but I play the game a lot more when a new opt is released.
[This message has been edited by CWarren410 (edited 07 February 2002).]

I usually play for about an hour a week, that is, until I can figure out how to get my Bryce 4.0 to export DXFs. I've got some models I wanna Opt.
------------------
Virtue
Knowledge
Strength
Draco429

I just started playing it agian after a while of inactivity. I guess it's because I finished the air taxi opts and decided to go back and do some of the more interesting missions again.
EDIT: what does (oo-er mrs) mean?
[This message has been edited by DataDroid (edited 09 February 2002).]

So in conclusion to this poll:
It seems that XWA is currently only being played briefly a few times a week.
A lot of people mess around editing rather than playing.
It's only skirmishes that are played.
People get the game out whenever a new Opt or something comes out.
-----------------------
I forsee a mass desertion for a long period when Jedi Knight II is released too.
The forums will still be busy but playing XWA will be even less than now.
Me too though it rocks! Image
What we really need is less people making dxf's and opts that never get released or finished. (Except for the XWAU! Image)
We need more people making missions to actually make use of the current opts and tools. Not just a massive daft battle, but something with an actual storyline.
Apart from me and Abolisher I can't name anyone else that has even tried making a mission in a year! The TieCorps make heaps of missions, but mostly for TIE, and they are mainly around 5,6 missions long.
------------------
Creator of the WWII Shipset : http://www25.brinkster.com/timmyxwa/shipset
If you want in on a WWII shipset, email me at mr_stupid82@hotmail.com

I have a decent plotline but i never got around to making it.
---------------------------------
New Republic Shipyards
Battle 1 : Phase 1
The IW is to start a campaign to eliminate most of the New Republic’s Shipyards. But they must first gather the whole IW Fleet.
Mission 1
The IW is massing their forces at a rendezvous point and Knight Squadron is to hyper to 4 different locations and escort the fleets there back to the rendezvous point.
Mission 2
The whole IW fleet has been assembled around Kessel. Many convoy ships are on the way to resupply the IW Forces before the fleet starts its attack
Mission 3
The first target of the IW Fleet is 3 Large Rebel Listening posts near the IW location. These posts must be destroyed before they send any communications out of the system to warn the New Republic.
Mission 4
A large Rebel supply depot is our next target. The depots supplies must be captured and then the rest of the depot destroyed before Phase 2 can begin
Battle 2 : Phase 2
The IW Fleet has jumped into the Sluis Sector. This is one of the more important systems. This is where the bulk of Rebel ships are made. We must move through each system capturing or destroying Rebel Shipyards.
Mission 1
The IW must first secure a temporary base of operations. The area must therefore be secured as well as the surrounding systems.
Mission 2
Our first system is the Sluis Van System. This should be the biggest shipyard and is well worth capturing. Only a portion of the fleet will attack the shipyard while the rest waits just out of the system ready to be called in if necessary.
Mission 3
Our next system to take over is the Mon Calamari system. This will be a tough system due to the fact that it is the home of the Calamari Cruisers.
Mission 4
After our defeat at Mon Calamari we are going in again but with different tactics. We will use our probe droids as kamikaze machines to destroy their cruisers. Hopefully this will work.
Mission 5
After being defeated again at Mon Calamari we are now going to send a portion of the fleet to attack them then pretend to run away. Hopefully they will follow and be lead straight into a trap.
Mission 6
After our last plan again failed we have no choice but to use Point-Blank tactics. The IW Capital ships will attack the enemy cruisers at point-blank range. Again, Hopefully this will work.

Battle 3 : Phase 3
Mission 1
Finally we have the Mon Calamari System. Luckily for us we just won in time because 2 new calamari cruisers only needed crews to operate. The IW has now commandeered the ships with skeleton crews. The interrogated prisoners have told us that at Kashyyyk there is the Rebels Base of Operations for this sector. We will have to destroy this leaving no survivors in order to complete. We have no idea what enemy craft is there only that there is a base of operations there.

Mission 2
It was a trap. A large Rebel Taskforce has trapped the IW. The base of operations was deserted and the Rebels jumped us. They are now blocking our escape and to make things worse they trapped us with their own Infiltrator Force, including an SSD as well as ISD’s. The IW is sending all of its fighters out after the fighters of the ISD’s.
Mission 3
With most of the Rebels fighters destroyed we can now start the attack on the ISD’s. All bombing craft will launch Torpedos against them while the remanning fighters will engage what’s left of the fighters then engage the ISD’s.
Mission 4
With only the SSD left we are going in for the attack. All fighters are to target its Shield Generators on top of its bridge. By that time the Capital Ships should be in range to start their barrage of lasers. Hopefully we can finish it off before it finishes us off.

------------------
Creator of the WWII Shipset : http://www25.brinkster.com/timmyxwa/shipset
If you want in on a WWII shipset, email me at mr_stupid82@hotmail.com

I don't think that's his point, but I'm not speaking for him, I'm speaking for me now-
It doesn't matter if YOU have them, you need to RELEASE them so OTHER people can use them too! As soon as I finish with Flavid's OPTs I'll probably get to work, seeing as that's the only thing I'd probably be able to do half-decent. Image
Oh, Ace, I have a little, mission on my site. It's a single mission and not to hard, but hey, it was my first one.. *shrugs* I'm working on another mission off and on which will probably turn into a simple campaign- Just missions, nothing else-, but that's it. I'll try to release it in the next two-three weeks, maybe sooner and longer. Image
As for desertion, I'm sticking with XWA, and I don't really have time for any other games. I'll probably get JKII some time, but not for months after it's released, until my computer is released.
You can bet, that if I could texture (I would but don't have money to buy a program), I'd be doing my best to join the XWAU team. Image But I'll shut up now..
------------------
"Life? You have a life? Wow!
