Hmmm... Interesting...
So, people, we've just taken a sledgehammer to the old HAPPY record. 1000 posts would be sweet, but that would require another 3.6 pages (at current post/page ratio) That puts us up to the 40th page. Has any forum thread lasted that long?
[ 10 November 2004: Message edited by: Phoenix ]

it is kinda of intersting how the happy threads have become a server stress test. Tho i do remember there was a fairly nasty smiley war in the first happy that made Forcey enforce a 8 pic per post limit ... with banning ;)

And don't undermine your thesis with your evidence...
I remember the Truce of the Happy... that was I think the peak of the HAPPY, but to be fair, it was the first one I joined in.
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be...

Hm. Nostalgia...
I think the only things I really remember with nostalgia are a group fanfic writing club I'm in, and TalkCity.
TalkCity has gone down the drain, through the sewer, and is now floating in the ocean, trying not to sink. Anyone else remember when they had the official StarWars.com chatrooms? :) Back when Episode I was released.

Something I wish I remember, though, is the golden age of sf... It's sad though. Arthur C. Clarke, in... The Sands of Mars, I think it is, the main character comments on how sf doesn't last because it's writing about the future... I wonder how long people will read the old stuff...
[ 11 November 2004: Message edited by: General Edor Crespin ]

Oh, Goody! 900 posts. Keep 'em short.
