If you have not listened to these audio books, you are truly missing out on one of the best X-Wing genre experiences second only to the sims themselves.

The voice acting was done well. Not a full cast audio drama, but still good. The background sound effects and music really add immersion factor. It's like listening to a recording of a movie. (some of the sounds are not 100% accurate but still makes for good listening)

You can still find them online for sale in cassette format:

I got all of them a few years ago and copied them to .mp3. Hours of great fun!

Makes long road trips and boring work days seem short!

They are slightly abridged, which is unfortunate, but the stories still follow the core essence completely.

Highly entertaining! Highly recommended!

I have these audio books and they're awesome. I'm the type of person who would rather listen then read, and with these audio books it pays off. It's not just someone reading the story to you, it's got Star Wars music, sound effects, you name it. During the flight battles you feel like you're actually part of the battle.

Coming from someone who loves space combat, I also recommend this!
