There is a topic opened some months ago about X-Wing Alliance stat conversion for the Star Wars D6 RPG by West End Games.

Now, let's talk about the Star Wars D20 RPG by Wizards of the Coast.
Since I've always found the combat mechanics a bit trivial, I searched for an alternate system where starships have lots of hardpoints to destroy separately and I discovered the Advent of Galactic Wars rulebook, a set of generic rules for task force level combat in deep space.
It was originally written for Babylon 5 Wars, but it can be applied to Star Wars of Star Trek fleet as well.

The site contains a lot of starship blueprints for nearly all the Star Wars factions for an immersive experience.
I think the mechanics could also be applied to the D20 RPG as well during a fleet confrontation (what about Armada?).

I know it seems a bit overcomplicated at first sight, but if someone wishes to give it a try, I would be pleased to have a feedback.
