sure go ahead. It was meant more for fighter carier though. I made several holes and gaps of which were explained as places fighters can hide, regain shields and go back into fight, point defences in those areas keep enemy from hiding there. <BR>And your right, the solo was ment as cross between the Venator and Eclipse, taking desings I liked from both of them. Its also has Imperial SD in bridge which then goes into Venator. Originally it was supose to be cross between ven and neb-b but that didn't work right. You see I love large ships with lots of flying through areas for fighter, like most of your ships have.<P>Actually the Saber might be best suited frigate sizes or corvette sizes. To be honest, I think that the best name posted here for this is actually the one that GT started off with. <BR>Katana fits best with the naming scheme you already have going (though I did really quite like Oberon). I do also agree that Katana itself is probably more suited for a larger vessel.<BR>My first thought was Arrowhead, but then I thought that might be a little too similar to the Spearhead. Staying on that line of thought, though, I liked the sound of Javelin-class. I think a weapon name is probably the best way to go, but one that fits its role as a support ship (i.e. not a sword name.)<BR>I came up with a couple of similar suggestions, like polearm, halberd and naginata.<BR>Looks nice anyway GT, definitely filling a niche there

Hey guys.

I'm somewhere 98% done with what I used to call the Katana-class Frigate
Recently DTM released his Katana-class Battleship. Now I'm not sure about having two ships released with the same name and I figured the name suited that far better than it does mine so I decided to look for a different name. Any suggestions?

My favorites are the Harbinger (though it was used in KOTOR II), the Scion, the Hellion, the Instigator, the Hydra, and the Titan. I originally came up with a list that was twice as long, but I cut out some of the bad ones. I still wanted to give quite a few possibilities in case I found something that happened to strike your fancy.

Dude, those look sweet! They're so good, at first glance you can hardly tell the difference between in-game and the actual renders!

Hmmm...names? Well, these will probably sound silly and may already be taken, but....

Emancipator
Monarch
Supremacy (though that might get confusing with the Supreme Battlecruiser.)
Stalwart
Serpentine
Infallible
Hellfire or Hellstone
Or, now that I'm thinking of TES, Atronach or Umbra/Umbraen-class.

Or, name it something specific to your in-universe history or technology. Like a historical figure that's maybe not related to the main characters in any way, but commanded some great army during a famous, ancient battle or was a great leader of many worlds. The Blue Phantom equivalent of someone like Caesar or Hannibal. Or some kind rare jewel or vicious, predatory creature. Or a planet, star, constellation...anything that you'd only find within the story lines of TBP.

Hi,

I used once an antiquated opt of an Allegiance-STD as Empress-Class Stardestroyer.

This is taken from my shp-file of that ship-class:

Craft designation: Empress Class Star Destroyer (E/STD)
Manufactor: Rendili StarDrive Systems
Crew: 58,178, gunners: 2204, troops: 16,120

This large vessel was intended as command ship for a fleet of stardestroyers. However the Emperor dislikes this "Super-Victory" STD. Only a few has been produced. As large as an Allegiance STD they are less powerful, but can carry 12 Fightersquadrons.

My second proposal would be Wraith-Class. It sound both relentless and ruthless.
