Website Relaunch: Vince T's Deisgn HQ 2014

First things first: Thanks DTM for coming out at the right time to reignite thes park!

Vince T's X-Wing is back or rather reborn, now going under


This reimagined site will continue to host all the stuff I made and am making for X-Wing Alliance and more. It will now als feature th various other graphical work I'm doing such as high detail versions of existing starship models featuring fully explorable interiors(That's one nasty pile of work), as well as artworks, other designs and maybe some tutorials. As I'm writing this, the Blue Phantom Project Website is also in revision, as I've revamped a lot of the story, background, ship details and so on over the passing two or three years. The number of ships alon has about doubled as I have introduced a lot more faction-speciffic as well as non-faction-exclusive vessels.

With the site relaunch I have also returned to OPTing and made some nice progress - viewable on the workbench. But let's have a little OPT Progress overview:
The Titan Battleship(Formally "Champion") is about 90% done and will likely be released next. Following that it'll likely be the Space Colony 1. From there ... let's see ...

Great news! I really like your design, especially the Delta TX-1 and the Titan!

Argh, just realized that after the SSD the Titan is probably one my most detailed models so far.
With all the headache that comes with it...

60 Meshes so far and I haven't imported the gun turrets yet .... argh!

Great work on new design!!!

I'm looking forward to you new OPTs especially Space Colony 1.
... and dreaming about Assault Transport. Please, please, make some progress on ATR :god2:

And another thing - you are working on the Blue Phantom Project website revision. Is there still any chance you will release something beside OPTs? At lease some kind of demo..., few missions...
Have you thought about a episodic releases?
I would really like to play some missions from your universe.

Yes I hope to release something for the TBP, even if it'd be just a few missions.

One thing though which I aim for is releasing it - or parts as a new game all together. One of my musical colleagues is working as software developer and currently busy working himself into Unity Engine. We might team up and and creat something based on TBP - I'm aiming for a 1st Person sort-of survival horor exploration thing. Funnily enough something like that was currently announced with that new Alien game.

OK, Titan update:
Texturing complete, cleanup time!

To-dos:
- Hitzones, Hardpoints & Engine Glows
- Cleanup superfluous line faces (tedious XP)
- Combine some meshes in a sensible fashion
- Fetch MXvTEd data and accompanying imagery(Skirmish Pic etc.)
- Prepare release

@DS can you still make installers?

Heh first ingame tests, boy that baby packs a punch.
I'll post a screen in a bit, had to fix some graphical issues first. Miss my old Win7 machine ...

OK, time for a status update.

I'm currently deeply entrenched revisiting the Blue Phantom website and updating or adding the tremendous loads of content that have been amassed through the past decade. A lot of things that were mentioned somewhere within the battle threads or rested within huge-@$$ spreadsheets on my comp, shall now be orderly listed and elaborated.

In doing so I am partly rewriting some elements that I previously published, if I realize that the information I thought up back then does not match the current concept. This means that for example ships may be renamed, rescaled, reclassified, reallocated to a different faction or their entire description is fully reimagined. Same goes for characters, locations and historic events.

The whole process is taking time and effort, but as soon as I have a running version of the website with all the infrastructure established, I will be uplloading the current status and you'll be able to read your eyes dry on all the new stuff.

For now, here's a first glimpse ....
