Almost two years of development, stagnation, testing and what not... Finally here it is! The ROTS Shipset: Battle over Coruscant is finally available for download. One of the most dramatic battles in Star Wars history is now yours to live through again. Fly your Actis Interceptor through a complete mayhem in the high orbit of Coruscant and try to rescue Supreme Chancellor Palpatine!

Big Kudos to Darksaber who made the awesome looking new installer, which you can download from Vince T's X-Wing HQ.

Warning, I uninstalled Battle over Coruscant and many shortcuts and program folders disappeared from my Start menu as well. Not a big issue though, just had to manually put them in their places, but a little annoying. Maybe DS could have a look at his installer.

Wow, that was an awesome mission. I really like how there are so many starships and fighters out there.
Of special note was the Carrack Cruiser model, wow! How come it's not part of XWAU??!

I installed a fresh copy of XWA, then ran the installer, I get this error message:
Your configutation file (Config.cfg) has NOT been set up correctly. Before you can continue, you will have to: -
1: Start XWA by clicking on Yes.
2: Exist XWA and install the ROTSBOC.
If you already have a backup of your pilot file (*.plt) and your configuration file (Config.cfg) now is the time to place them in your XWA Directory.
Thank you. Would you like to start XWA now?

If I'm not mistaken this means you have to run your XWA once, before installing the patch, so a default pilot and config file are created.
Can you confirm this, DS?
[ 02 April 2007: Message edited by: General_Trageton ]

That'll cause a major lag at the beginning but should therefore smoothen the flow lateron.
And just wait until some ships blow up, performance gets way better then :D

Alright thanks. I have a semi-fast computer (it takes around 1 minute to install XWA). I have a Dell Windows XP, Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40 GHZ, 3.39 GHz, 512 MB of RAM. Dunno how good that is..

Works better now. GT, the battle is awesome. I spent an extra 10 minutes after I finished the mission just shooting down Droid Fighters lol.

On a sidenote, in case you haven't noticed/tried it out yet: Highlight for spoilers!

This will fail the mission, but it's worth a look anyway.
Once you have inspected the Invisible Hand (don't do that too soon, inspect all other CIS ships first), do not disable it.
Once it gets into close combat with that Venator, shields and hull will drop rather rapidly. Once it's at 25% hull, it'll drop down towards the planet like in the movie. With a bit of luck and good timing you'll be able to whitness the almost exact same scene as in the movie.

The CRKC is one of my favorite starships and I didn't like how the crappy TG model looked in comparison to XWAU ships. This new model is exceptionally well done, great work! :D
Other than the occasional lag, I absolutely loved this mission. Pretty simple for XWA vets, but extremely good ambience-wise and it contains a lot of easter eggs and "realistic" action.
