Hey guys, was just playing around with a character drawing and some background goodies. Now I've come up with three version of the pic, mainly diferring in the intensity of the light blurr. I'll add that one to the tbpp gallery. But before I do, I'd like to ask for your oppinion as of which of the three is most suitable. I kinda like them all so I can't really decide....

The first one. Second one is plausible, but the third, those lights would have to be really bright to justify that much blur and everything else is just too dark.

Why even have light blur? unless it was exterior lights, anything more then needed on a ship could be detrimental

I think the second one is the best... a bit of blur for dramatic effect, but without exaggeration.

I think the third one is most artistically pleasing for what it's worth.

I say the second or first one, although I agree with Ol.
Should've made it a poll.

In my experience critiquing the lighting I'd have to say the first, mainly because the textures look better with that darker tone.
That said, it seems like there is a problem with light sources. The main lighting in the background seems to be coming from her rear left and far above, but the lighting on her looks to come from a little to her front left, about shoulder high (though the shadow on her neck from her head does look like the light for it is coming from behind and above like the hangar lights would suggest). Maybe there is another light source that is nearby, and the hangar lights are just so far up that they do not do much in the way of casting shadows.
Hmm. That may make sense if there is a second source of light out of frame, it just seems odd to me at 4 AM.

Yes, that was my intention, there'd be another ligh source nearby while the hangar lights don't cast much light on her since they're to far away. If you take a look at the distant catwalks high above her the distance becomes more obvious.

OK, that makes sense. Objections rescinded. Well barring the normal one, of course.
I still like the first one, for how the textures on the hangar look darker and have a bit more depth to them than the lighter ones.

Second one looks best.
On a side note:
Her... umm.... "assets"... seem a little low on her body. Maybe slide 'em up a bit?

I agree, she does look a bit saggy, give her a bit of lift, she looks youngish so she should be perky, try buying her a Wonder BraFarShot wrote:Second one looks best.
