Editing the new missions for my REBCP, I am experimenting with a new use of the JeremyFr Hook which replaces the objects in the missions: the appearance of wrecks after the explosion. This is not a patch that changes the characteristics of the game, but a special editing of the mission through Allied. I had already experienced something similar in the past, but never applied due to lack of slots.
The concept is simple: to make the model of a wreck appear after the explosion of a spaceship. How to do? Use a blank.opt at the same coordinates as the exploding ship. Synchronize the explosion with the entering of the wreck from the blank.opt . Simple
With the spaceships it works well. I am making several models of destroyed capital ships and I must say that the effect is very pleasant.
The beauty is that it works well with the AT-AT: I could not bear that the targets on the ground disintegrate after the destruction!
This is a sequence of images, taken in one of the new missions on Naboo...

You cannot even imagine how I appreciate your work: wreckage of destroyed starships is one of the few things still missing (as far as I know).DTM wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 10:20 pm

After the explosion capital ships disappear, scattered among the entropy of the universe.
I don't judge tactics. The Battle is the best and only Judge.

The idea is amazing. Only 1 question: are AI-controlled crafts instructed to avoid the wreckage as if it were a common ship or object?

Yes, the relic may thake place of the Slot of a container, or a space atation. AI will avoid it as usual.
