I'm wondering is anyone playing around in the editor has had any luck using global cargos for anything useful with editing a mission? I envisioned a mission where a series of completely different craft from totally different flight groups could be grouped together in such a way that one or multiple ships among said group, maybe a global group, could be assigned a specific global cargo. This could potentially make an illicit cargo hunting checkpoint mission more challenging for every play-through considering it would be different.

Thoughts?

As of right now I've got some basic functionality out of it allowing me to have flightgroups use ships with specific global cargo values as a target but as of now I have to manually assign them, meaning using the global cargo functionality seems pointless.

In the end there must be a reason for this feature. I am unable to figure it out.
