Well, I actually had this one lying around for quite a while, awaiting the finishing touches...
Time's passing here, too, and after I laid in bed with a nasty cold for a few days I have the sudden urge to release something. Expect this to be the next release sometime around Newyear's Day :D :p

Wow, it looks really cool, what is it?! Is that big core is destroyable? Kinda feel like the DS core chamber :P

Heh, it's not a game footage, but I indeed did it with a long engine glow effect ;)

Well well, it's New Year's day, and like I promist, here it is!
Image
The Diamond Station is now available for download. Only few other models have undergone such radical changes in their design phase as this one - the very first version looked pretty similar to a Death Star....
Diamond Stations were built as massive defense stations in orbit over planet Bricera during the Family war between the Vaylon and Khisar Clan. With a diameter of almost 10 km this powerful battle station can stand well against a whole enemy fleet, while its barely countable laser turrets make it more than a match for any attacker.
Now available for download at an X-Wing HQ near you!
Happy New Year!
[ 01 January 2007: Message edited by: General_Trageton ]

Y'know, I never told you this, but that station gave me nightmares... I kept having dreams about it blowing up and me being trapped inside... and then I randomly figured out how to get out and the dreams went away...
I may actually reinstall XWA so I can use this station... I want to... really bad...
Thankee :D

Heh ... sort of ironic to think that when you first encounter this station, it IS about to explode and you have to escort some Patriot Frigates escaping to safety ... (one of the most portrayed scenes I have)
Image
Image
[ 02 January 2007: Message edited by: General_Trageton ]

If you mean the Blue Phantom Project, yes.
I cannot confirm that 'near future' thing so far, though. :D

What I want to know is whether downloading the ships individually will help once the whole thing is released. Because I haven't dl'ed any of them. Is there an advantage to doing so?
(not that it matters right now -- my XWA-puter just got eaten by a virus)

Well, the advantage is you can use the models now, instead of in 10 years, when the project is finally completed.

Not so far, but I could imagine a modified version standing in as the New Cophuran Stardock ;)

Grettings.
Yes sir, I was waiting for this one as well. It will replace the Emperor's Fortress and serve as the new final target (or station to defend) in my little story. It wont be armed, but it will be well protected! Alas, I have to wait a little for that!
Oustanding as always!
-Morfeo-
