That's the 'Hot Topic' meaning more than 25 posts, the rest was spot on!

True, they are a bit hard to see, have to check if I find a better suitable version for that.

Hmmmm...Does it have anything to do with the Yoda icon? :?
Maybe ;)
n8weigel wrote: I like the new icons, they'll just take some getting used to. On left bar now, the red box the normally appears over the Star Destroyer under all the links like "FAQ, Chat, Links, Rules", so on and so forth, is gone. It's been replaced by the XWA Upgrade symbol and it makes the links harder to read. Just in case you hadn't noticed that because of a forced refresh issue or something, I wanted to point it out.
Well, it should look like this:

If it doesn't you browser still has the old images and css files cached. It's not perfect and finished yet though. I still need to tweak it, just don't know how yet ;)

Hmmm, suggestion: I would place the "Tooltips" that appear for the site links lower, maybe so they stay within the "range" of the star destroyer.

See what I mean:

Ah-ha! I'm no expert with any of this stuff. You were right, I just cleared my cache and everything seems fine now, just like you pictured it. Looks good! :D

Yeah, that's definitely one of the changes I have planned. Plus make it the right width so it does properly line up and have all faded red backgrounds properly fade out completely instead of just ending.

*sigh* So much to do, so little time. I also have about 1.500 photographs I did yesterday to sift through, anybody knows how to extend the day to last 36 hours?

Yeah, some browsers really seem to not want to reload css information properly. Even a forced refresh wont always work. But goog to know it works for you now :)

More tweaks to done, now the red background images properly fade to nothing, giving them a less hard border. Also edited the 'tooltip' in the main navbar to look less out of place. Still debating whether to keep it like that though...

Ooh Shiny! :D

Great Job Forceflow. Seems like all the sites I frequent are changing their forums. And all now too.

May this one last longer than its predecessor! ;).

I just realized that you can see through the background of all the forum posts and see the XWA Upgrade banner and the X-Wing next to it! It looks really cool with a mouse wheel rolling through the fading red stripe at the top! I should turn my monitor brightness up more often. It does look really shiny! :D

Yeah, it always used to bug me when the X-wing would suddenly disappear into the black background only to have little bits reappear in the breaks between posts. I used to play with it all the time. XD

This quick reply feature is kinda cool, too. I just noticed it. Keep up the good work, Force! Forum's looking great!

Looking good Force well done, it's a pity no one really posts anything much these days though, I think there has been more post from spambots than actual members just lately though :(

Yeah, sadly that's true. But hopefully the Bots will be kept at bay now. At least so far the newest Q&A feature appears to work.

So, with a last push I did today the page redesign is done. All pages on the Forum and the actual XWAU webpage have been redesigned to suit the new look. I know it's not perfect and that there are some kinks here and there, but I think it's close enough.

I added rounded corners as a style to the page. Not sure if it works with all browsers though, so could anybody who cannot see them please do a forced refresh and then tell me what browser they are using? (If they still don't see them after a forced refresh)

Mhm... looks like even IE8 does not support round corners... this sucks. Well, sorry IE users, but you'll have to live with a slightly less awesome new look ;)

Hi,

when I looked into the forum last week it looked very unusual.

Now it is much better (and better than the old forum software!).

Also I am looking forward for General Trageton´s "talk theme". ;)

I forced a refresh and I have round corners! I'm using Firefox 3.6.13. Also, the quote boxes are now using a similar box to the FAQ/Chat/Links/etc Star Destroyer area. Was that part of the most recent update too?

Well, define recent ;) I changed that on Monday.

I added the Millenium Falcon to the lower right part of the screen. Not sure if I'll keep it though.

What do you guys think, too distracting/hard to read over?

In my opinion the Falcon can stay. At least at my resolution it doesn't reaches into the main text area.
The new forum looks a lot better than the old one.

Same here, at 1280x1024 the Falcon ends right about the line between text area and user info
