Looking good. Can't wait to fly this thing.

Out of simple curiosity, is it going to have multiple FG colors?

Amazing.. certainly a very interesting craft.. somethingh rarelly seen in new SW movies ince 1983 :D (ok maybe the ARC-170 and a few shuttles can be spared)

what about other RO ships like that new heavy Zeta class shuttle or why not.. the HammeHead Corvette who after its UE jump to canon in Rebels featured a beefier version in RO

Or that MC-75 cruiser wich i wish i had not readed the guide article on it... :irre:

I wanted to make it flyable the shuttle Lamda slot for the U-Wing. Have you ever tried? The S-Foil command does not work and the wings are closed... :?

I've just tested it myself, I did know, it doesn't work does it, I tried setting the S-Foils Enabled to 0 same as the X-wing with BHE no change.

looks like the S-Foils are only enabled when in landing or take off mode

Like I said I didn't know, I've never tested the Shuttle as a flyable craft

when you press the V button, it just comes up with "Your craft does not have S-Foils" :(

I even tried setting it as a fighter, no go either :(

Looks like the only craft slot to truly have workable s-foils is the X & B-wings sorry

Ok, this is my plan: I will release a version of the opt to be used only as hangar object, with landing gear and transparent cockipt, to replace the landing shuttle. Using the hook, no slot will be replaced.
The second version of the opt will be a not flyable craft, to be installed replacing the Lambda shuttle slot or the Imperial Landing Craft slot, that should be equal to the Lamda's slot.
Finnally I will release two flyable version of the opt, with opened and closed wings. Player has to choose wich version to install.
I wait the Blue Ray of the movie prior to create the cockpit opt, so you have to wait for the flyable version...

Hello,

Here is how to make the shuttle's s-foils work:

Code: Select all

At offset 0FB86E, replace 7419 with EB19.

Jeremy, follow up question. Is it possible to create a hook where existing craft slots can be marked and their S-Foil information can be re-routed to point to, and read from one of the three existing hard-coded S-Foil table slots ?
i.e.--
1) X-Wing
2) B-Wing
3) Lambda Shuttle
.
Examples:
Escort Shuttle's S-Foil information is read from ----> 3) Lambda Shuttle table slot
Imperial Landing Craft's S-Foil information is read from ----> 3) Lambda Shuttle table slot
SkiprayBlastboat's S-Foil information is read from ----> 2) B-Wing table slot
....etc.

I think that is along the idea DTM was inquiring.

Yep I can verify that will work, it's exactly what I used, I couldn't find my hex editor, so Jeremy's XWAExePatcher was the next best thing :)

Unless DTM wants a *.202 patch file?

But then you will need something to apply the patch, a couple of years back I asked if Jeremy would create a new ZT patcher, he did but I don't think he ever released it to anyone else but me, I maybe wrong, anyhow if you would like a new ZT patcher/Creator you can download it from Jeremy's OneDrive

I hope Jeremy doesn't mind me linking to his One Drive, (I don't think there is anything on there that we haven't downloaded before) look for the ZtCreator/Patcher.zip and download

If Jeremy doesn't want me to link to his One Drive I'll remove the link

They used that Wing design on the Death Trooper transports in the final movie.

Hello Bman,
I'm working on a more generic hook that allow to set s-foils to any given ship.

U-Wing will be released togheter with my REBCP.The release of the beta was scheduled for the first days of October, but my laptop did not do it, and is now in repair. There will be a delay of about a month.
U-Wing is ready and will have exterior file and a basic cockpit. No flightgroup colors.

Will any of the ships have individual installers? Where does REBCP stand with DSUCP? I like the models and premise but I don't wanna loose what DSUCP provides. I typically fly empire late civil war era but those ships would be great for my mission making.

Thanks to Darksaber, REBCP will be some sort of variant of the DSUCP.
Individual installers will be relased after the beta version of the REBCP.

The REBCP utilises craft from the DSUCP, so you will have to have the DSUCP installed otherwise you won't be able to install the REBCP :)

Right on. I'm looking forward to the U-wing with S-foils. Everything else is bonus. I saw you said no FG colors, can you elaborate on why?

No, no, there is no why. Nothing more will I teach you today. Clear your mind of questions.
