Amen to the post above.

It's a real shame we'll never know where TG planned to go with this. Given all previous titles had expansions, and given the Azzameen story was never finished, I can't help but feel there was an expansion lined up that got canned.

Has it really been that long? Seems like just yesterday that I installed it... real shame that it never got finished and that there hasn't been a true successor.

What impresses me is that this project began not long after XWA was released, and it's still going.

Indeed, Sax. 18 years! For many, it's a lifetime, isn't it?

Well, I haven't been part of the community for many years, but I remember when XW Alliance was announced...the buzz on Datamaster's was heated. Sites popped up all over the net, and we were eager to see how the file formats and models/textures had changed. I'm glad to see many contributors still around that I had interacted with on many occasions. Saxman, Marcus, etc.

Anyone remember BRL? "Does it have a Planet? LOL!!! and a Star? LOL!!!"

I know, bad memory...but for me it was comedy and part of our lore.

Hmmm, wonder whatever happened to Datamaster himself...?

BRL, jezz yes, everytime he came on here under a different name, you knew who it was, from the complete crap he posted, I must have banned him 3 or 4 times, what a pain in the backside! :D

There's only a few of us still actually doing something though these days. :?

Not naming any names but.....

I wish that the individual projects that got started would have gotten finished.

There where certain members that started something, showed some really good progress but then they got bored and project got forgotten and they moved on to other things, just wish that they might have finished what they started :(

Funny thing is that some of those members still come back here and create topics to show what they are doing now, which in some cases is basically the same thing as they where doing here, it's weird! :irre: :D

Happy birthday!
The XWAUP is not over! There are still a bit 'of beautiful ships and bases to complete. Today I finished a new opt for the project. I will present it to the team after performing the first tests. I will not say what it is, until I will have a nice image to display. Stay tuned!

Time for a guessing game. I say it's the Rebel Alliance Platform or the Imperial Research ship.

It's not a fighter. As long as I know it's present in only one mission of the Azzameen campaign. It's not the research ship or the rebel base...it's bulky but it's not the bulk cruiser...
