XWA Upgrade

So battlefront 2 is in early release/beta till the 9th, open beta starts on Friday. If you want to get in early without preorder you can try this.

I've had a blast in Star fighter assault. I've been absolutely wrecking people with my thrustmaster wharthog. Got a 20 kill streak once, routinely get top kills in matches. Much improved over the first game, flying is much better.

I'd still rather have a new X-Wing game than a glorified Battlefield skin.

You'll be happy to know it plays very little like Battlefield.

People have been ripping the models from the beta which I've been collecting. So if anyone wants references, I can provide a list of ships.

It definitely plays much more like a Star Wars space game than battlefield. Of course it is still much simpler than X-Wing but the controls are really ok.

Were you using pedals when you played the beta?
Because mine just acted in a strange way when I had put rolling on it. It did nothing until it reached a point where I was rolling like if I was pressing a key on my keyboard.
Otherwise my joystick worked great and it was so much more precise than mouse or xbox controller.

I was just using mouse and keyboard.

Was able to use joystick.... I agree with Kiarand much better with a joystick than keyboard and mouse.

I disagree, I find it harder.

Once i switch rolling on, it was a blast. Really digging the TIE Bomber, and the new unique ship powers. Granted, I'm playing on an Xbox one, but years of Ace Combat have honed my controller flying skills
