I'm wondering if those gas clouds are part of 'The Maw'. So far it hasn't been made canon again.

From the way it looks I‘d say thats the Maw alright. Think I read somewhere that the Kessel run would play a part in this movie.

I still hate what they've done to the Falcon.

The one we got is too similar to the falcon.
I suspect this movie gonna be better than ep7 and 8...i hope !!

Seen the trailer as part of another vid, where they managed to predict most of what was in it beforehand, lol. I doubt everything in it will be in the actual film. (Remember that TIE Fighter scene in Rogue One? Neither do I.)

Looks to me like it'll be yet another generic totally-not-Marvel movie that's obviously trying to be Star Wars, with fanservice and forced jokes coming out of its ears. I bet that'll confuse all the people they fool into seeing it in China, where they've removed all mentions of the franchise from the marketing, and just called it "Ranger Solo". Such brand confidence.~

Star Wars has never had a big following in China, so it's not about general brand confidence, just the Chinese market.

This is just the Falcon before Han modified it. Lando or someone else probably owns it at this point and they probably like it looking nice and shiny.

Lando certainly seems like the type of guy who would keep it looking nice, plus remember his line in ESB about it.

Also George was on the set for a day with this one and even suggested a change to the scene they were shooting. Him and Ron Howard are old friends.

His idea was to have Han brought up by Chewbacca on Kashyyyk.

Apparently Lawrence Kasdan had been signed on to write a Han film since before Disney bought LucasFilm

News Report

Even before Lucasfilm was sold to Disney in 2012, launching a renaissance of galactic storytelling, Lawrence Kasdan had signed on to put together a Han Solo-centric movie. Then he was brought aboard Episode VII, and that became all-consuming.

Also, Michael K. Williams was only recast because he didn't have time to reprise his character for Ron Howard's reshoots.

Wonder when the last time was we saw a Star Wars trailer didn't involve the Falcon being chased by TIEs.

Looks interesting though. Probably won't enthrall me like Rogue One and the Sequels did, but it should be solid 2 hour entertainment.

Yeah I agree, that one should be fun to watch, though not in a mindset of it being a SW movie but simply a nice SciFi action movie, kinda like GotG. I‘m looking forward to it.

Interesting point about the Falcon. Maybe that is the deeper sense of SW in the first place: The Falcon being chased by TIEs

I'm probably gonna skip on this one, i dunno, Solo never really interested me enough to learn his backstory... i mean in ANH, he was a bad ass shoot first ask questions later, kessel run champion smuggler with a heart of gold.

Well knowing Lando, he probably prefers it looking nicer then Han does (Plus you know, his "What did you do to my ship?" line in ESB, so obviously something happened to it between Han winning it and then)

The front of it is an escape ship according to some of the toys.

That was a reaction to Han's request for repairs, not to the Falcon's appearance.
