I like the new look, too. It's different but I think it has a 'slicker' look. Cool.

It'll take me a while to get used to the new forum layout.

Same, but I do think it beats the old forum in just about every way, except for the fact that I always need to log in twice for it to work, and that it never keeps me logged in, but that could just be my problem.Captain Needa wrote:It'll take me a while to get used to the new forum layout.

Nice new forum. I could have given you one for free though
One thing I am struggling with is the avatar. I use the same avatar on every place I go, but the restrictions here on size mean I can't use it. I've shrunk it down, I've cropped it to the smallest it can go, and yet I still can't get the thing smaller than 25kb (forum restriction is 20kb). On the forums I own I have a 200x200 maximum pixel size and a maximum file size of over 100kb.

2. More then likely the problem with you pig is you are using a BMP or a jpg with too high a quality setting. E-mail me the file and I can tweak it for you.

Hell, post the picture here. I'm curious to see why you're having problems with it.

Wow! Is this going to take some getting used to. I'm one of the men here and I've been lurking around since 2000. You just get so used to things the way they were then, WAMMO! Oh well. Life goes on. One problem is I don't think there are enough smilies to choose from
Seriously, one question. Is there a way to tell if there is a new post in a thread? There does not seem to be a guide for the symbols on the left side of the threads.
Sorry if this has been asked already and thanks in advance for your help.

To the immediate left of the thread title is a little icon when a thread has new posts.Oldcode wrote:Seriously, one question. Is there a way to tell if there is a new post in a thread? There does not seem to be a guide for the symbols on the left side of the threads.

Something that will probably help is, somewhere in the upper right area is a link that says "Mark forum read"... do that for whichever forums you follow, it should help a lot also.

Why do you use this blue color for your posts? It is ready hard to read.

Basically... because I can... On another phpB everybody chose a color to use in their posts and I just think it's fun.
I'll stop, though. I'll find a color that isn't as hard to read against these dark backgrounds.

2.0.0.13, or 3.0b4? I wasn't having that issue until I upgraded to the 3.0 beta, but I think I can deal with it thanks to the many improvements that 3.0 offers.ANDREW L wrote:the newest version of FireFoxExecutor32 wrote:What browser are you using?
