Would it have anything to do with the fact that the progress section lists the Otana as being worked on by none other than DTM (and Berruga) over there? :D

Glad I had off today, just sacrificed myself to the engine wash of this monstrosity.

GT, Dragon thank you - staggeringly awesome piece of work.

Wow. Fantastic job! Made me install X-Wing Alliance again, today. But after I got to work my good old Wingman Force 3D and X-Wing Alliance on Win 7 64bit, I couldn't install any of the XWAU exe installers, because it can't find the xwingalliance.exe :( . I had a look in the regestry and found an entry, but only for v1.0, although I've installed v2.02 of course. Any ideas?

Hi Gringlas

What's the message the XWAUP installers are giving you when you try to install them.

did you use the MSI installer from Markus Egger http://www.markusegger.at/Software/Games/

I have windows 7 x64 and yes the version in the registry still says 1.0

and yes I have the 2.02 version installed

Hi Darksaber,

it's been some time :). I used the the MSI installer of Markus Egger to install the game. After rebooting my PC, everything works fine now. Odd! But thanks for your help anyway. I'm off to install all those nice new ships now.

Looking at this encourages me to take the dust from my two ssd models I have made (Eclipse and Malevolent) and give them an upgrade!

Congrats!!

GT, I have a question about the installer and such. I am playing through the SSD missions in campaign again to watch that beauty in action. Does the installer automatically install mission fixes for the larger SSD? And if this is the case, I noticed a difference since the last time I played through the missions with the SSD fix from Darksaber's site. I'd like to call your attention to the mission where you are rescuing the Corvette Razor and you have to pick up the jettisoned escape pod with the Independence. There's nothing wrong with how the mission functions, but Independence model is the the MC-80a or Defiance model and not the larger Independence model that comes in Darksaber's UPC. The only reason I bring it up is that the old mission fix used the larger model instead. Is there a reason it's like this or am I barking up the wrong tree?

We intentionally didn't go with the large Independance because, installing the new SSD one cannot take for granted that everyone has the UCP and / or the large home one installed. There's likely to be an update, once the xwau home one is finished and released.
