Functional 1080p cockpits in XVT?

Like many others I run xvt in 1080p and the 95 versions of x-wing and tie fighter the same and was wondering if it was possible to create 1080p cockpits with past or present software?

I suppose you can either hand draw the cockpit or build it as a 360° mesh in any 3D software and then render each cockpit view.
If the XvT-engine supports this is another question.
(Btw: The Y-Wing cockpit from X-Wing and XvT is being rebuilt as 360° mesh for the X-WingVM project.)

Yeah the actual cockpit graphic generation will be no problem, the problem is needing some software to get it in the game and also to redo the position of the various console graphics and still have them work correctly.
