Hello Folks!
Okay, I finally got the Forum up and running! And guess what, it's a completely new forum! It's a phpBB3, so it's pretty much top of the line all nice and shiny!
Now of course you think you'll have to reregister, so that sucks, but lucky for you, all your user information has been transfered, too!
Of course, wih all the posts gone it'll be really boring, right? Well, I guess it would be right, but lucky us I was also able to safe and transfer all posts into the new board, too! (Yay me, it took me forever to get that all working!)
Now I know it looks ugly and there's certainly quite some problems I still haven't fixed (like the not working search-feature) But it's a new start and will hopefully make sure that the XWAU will prevail for much longer!
P.S. Yes, I do know that it looks ugly as hell! Live with it, it took me a week just to get it working, you'll survive it looking sucky for a couple of days

Hi Forceflow. Congrats on the new forum. Don't worry about the looks we can definitely wait. I know what kind of work it entails and it is a pain in the ***! On the other hand thanks for making it possible for this huge and fantastic community to keep on going through the centuries

Very nice!
I did notice that everyone's signatures needed to be redone, so I redid mine. They'll probably allow images now, too, so I'll add that later.

Holly cow this is awesome!
Great job Force flow!
Though if you could change my user name back to darklord I'd be pretty thankful. the half email address was an old mistake i did when registering typing at a mile a minute, and I put up with it all this time because my displayed name was right.

Yeah, the signatures need to be redone, and a lot of the old posts have some errors, too. (The old forum worked to much with html coding and stuff)

Thanks allot! Now i don't have to confuse myself when ever I try to post in these forums by typing part of my email address.
We can't use HTML anymore?
Ive also just noticed some of the smiles are a tad inappropriate
On the bright side we now have a working search though i think it only works with new threads

Wow, this is going to take some getting used to I think.
I hope you manage to get it looking a bit more XWAU though Force, just isn't the same without those X-wings telling me where the new posts are

Looks a bit wierd at the moment but I'm sure it will be much better than the old forum and we'll have some new features to play with after all your hard work.

Yeah, no more html, sorry about that. But you really shouldn't need it anyways, all that's necessary should be possible with the BBCode.darklord wrote:Thanks allot! Now i don't have to confuse myself when ever I try to post in these forums by typing part of my email address.

As for the smilies, yeah I still have to change some of those. I just ripped them off my other board, which is why all the signs are in German, too

Was going to add my helmet artwork (done nicely by former Red Squadron member Chelsey "Vape" Maxfield) to my signature, but I forgot I had the option of making it my avatar, too, so I did that instead.
EDIT: Forceflow, any chance of changing my name on the board from "WildstarBlue9" to "WildstarRed2"? I noticed you were able to do it for dragon, and the new name would be more in line w/ my current squadron and slot.

Hey, Forceflow, can I get ShadowDuelist again? For some reason I didn't use that as my sign in name here, like I have everywhere else, so now I'm drake26, and it may confuse people.

My avatar seemed a bit grainy when I resized it on my local machine, and it wouldn't take the original (6KB limit), so I resized it on PhotoBucket...looks a bit better now.

Thanks for the work, Forceflow!!! The color scheme is jarring, but I am confident in your abilities!

Congrats on setting up the new forum - not an easy job.
Keep a close eye on it, though, I visit the Axis History Forum which recently upgraded to the same software, and they've had some reliability problems.

@Force, are you going to set the number of posts per page back to 25 as it was before?
I'd do it myself, but I don't want to interfer while you're still in the process of setting everything up.
