Projects Making all the other TIEs from WEG I can find schematics of and using my own parts from my other TIEs for the XWAU, and an ultra-high detailed "Babylon 5 to XWA TC" Minbari fighter

I've been keenly intersted in pursuing a career computer imaging and animation so I've been involved in CGI stuff since I recieved my first computer back in March of 1996. I had been tinkering a lot with the concepts of modelling but it wasn't until I got one of the first demos of Rhino3D that I tried any real modelling since the package I had up till then, was basically only usefull for setting up scenes for rendering or animating which in itself has taught me a lot about camra and light placement and such. I 've also done a fair amount of work involving 3D terrain and such, and I find that it's very fun due to the only limits being my own imagination.

After playing the original X-wing game, I got rather interested in game editing. So after X-Wing vs TIE Fighter came out and I stumbled across the OPT Project I followed it religiously till I picked up enough to make a couple primitive ships with the old set of tools we had then. Left the community for a long time after that to pursure Total Annihilation editing, but I finally came back to the X-Wing community. Took me a very long time to figure ACE out when it was released finally, but I finally did and here I am much to the consternation of many--laugh here--. I can thank the X-Wing games for actually making me get a move on modelling. Before I just played around in Rhino, but no I actually plan things out and then make them and it saves hours of sitting in front of a stupid PC monitor.

Recently, I've been trying to branch out to get more experience in areas such as character modelling and it's actually going along quite well. I'm also trying to make some super high detailed models so I can be a member of the Babylon 5 Modeller's Guild--sorry, but the SWMA isn't goo enough for me. :-)

I'm going into my last year of high school so college is just around the corner and I can't wait since all I dream about is getting my hands on a copy of Lightwave or 3DS MAX and actually getting to work with the tools I've always wanted to use but can't afford. That's about it, unless anyone wants a long rant about Volkswagen's from me. Hehe Anyone for VW opts?
