SPAM / DDNS attack on Forum

There appears to be somewhat of an attack going on against the forum. Because of that I had to disable access to it for non-logged in users. My apologies. I hope to be able to change this again, but since the attack appears to also hinder logins for registered uses there is little I can do right now :(

I see there are 27 users online right now: 3 registered, 0 hidden and 24 guests (based on users active over the past 5 minutes).
How is this possible if access has been disabled for non-logged in users? Guests number should be theoretically 0.

Well, you can still enter the forum, you just don't see anything. The two IPs/Ranges are still accessing the site. Every attempt is blocked, but they keep trying everything there is. I am guessing they use Google search to find the links and then attempt to access the links. For what purpose, no idea. But the amount of access requests has gone down a bit and since every request is blocked it lessens the load on the server considerably.

OK It's been 8 months since the attack and the changes made. I think we can un-sticky this one...
