I am getting the Direct3D not enough memory message when trying to load tour missions. I am running the NVIDA Gtx 860m. What are the procedures to fix this?

Tried the LARGEADDRESSAWARE method and that was a no go as well.

How much video RAM have you got on your card? Try lowering down your desktop resolution (maybe 1920x1080 or less). Also try disabling the effects using the Babu Frik configurator and see if the game runs that way.

4gb ram on the graphics card. Not sure if I am running hardware acceleration or not. Not sure where to look for that.

4GB video RAM should be enough. To see if you're running with graphics acceleration, press ESC to open the menu and then go to Video Options. See if your video card is there. If not, you may have to force hardware acceleration so that the game sees your card. You can do this using the nVidia Control Panel (create a profile for xwingalliance.exe and select the video card it should use).

I will give that a try. Someone on here mentioned that My laptop may be running with integrated and not dedicated graphics between the intel chip and my nVida. Not sure if that makes any difference or not. Some missions play fine, it's just when I attempt to get deeper into the campaign (i.e. Endor Missions) that I run into trouble. I am also running on a regular HDD but I will be upgrading to an SSD very, very soon. Again, not sure if that makes a difference.

*****UPDATE***** Issue seems to have been solved. I just replaced my stock HDD for a Samsung Evo 870 SSD. I then started the mission that I was getting hung up on (Battle of Endor). The mission started with no issue. It seems a new SSD was the key.
