Hello all,
The game crashed on me yesterday when I was trying to restart a mission. I don't remember for sure if it happened when I hit H + spacebar or when I hit enter to Launch once I was back in the hangar.
It happened on B3M1 "Liberate Slave Convoy", if ever it is mission-related. And I'm playing on a Steam version with Mega Patch and Update 2.1.
I had 3 reports in the event log. Here they are, in chronological order:

It is not a big burden since I could just relaunch the game and the mission. But it could be good to fix this, if it is not specific to my config/install.

Hello,
Can you reproduce the crash and create a crash dump?
See viewtopic.php?p=180489#p180489 for instructions.

I was able to reproduce the crash twice. But the symptoms are not always the same.
And I got 1 dump file.
What I did is I launched the same mission (B3M1), restarted it right away before hyper-ing to the combat zone, launched again from the Liberty and went to the combat zone. The crash happened about 3 minutes after restarting the mission, apparently at a random moment where nothing particular was happening.
Here are the event logs, different from my first post.

Unfortunately I messed up ProcDump so I didn't get a crash dump.
So I launched the game and mission again, went straight to the combat zone, intentionally got killed and restarted the mission. This time the game crashed right away when I tried to launch from the Liberty.
The event logs were again different, but the sequence always begins by the same .NET error:

Hello,
Here is something you can try:
- rename dinput.dll with a different extension
- download xwa_hook_main_no_dinput.zip from xwa_hook_main_no_dinput
- copy hooks_main.dll in your xwa directory
- run XwaExePatcher and apply the patch to XWingAlliance.exe

Hi,
I'm not sure what all this changed but it seemed to work.
I mean, I tried B3M1 only once but was available to restart it right away before jumping into hyperspace and then complete it successfully with no crash.
I will try later on to restart a few missions here and there and close the topic if all is good.
Thanks!

I tried to restart a few missions in both the tour of duty and the simulator. No crash encountered.
Thanks again @JeremyaFr!
