Long time lurker and user of the craft here. I've always kept up to date with the latest mods to run Alliance in whatever OS I have, but the GoG release will hopefully make things a lot easier. Thanks to DS and crew for keeping this old gem alive with the updated models. You can tell they were created with love. It's really a testament to the original design that the gameplay remains the same, but some graphics updates make this game feel new again.

Great work and thanks to all those still tirelessly working and updating XWA upgrade project. Have just bought the GoG version because it's time to put all the beautiful models back to work :) Thanks for keeping this mod alive! :)

Any Idea when the patch will come back online? starting to get tempted and just buy the GOG version since CD version just keeps crapping out

Grab the GOG version anyway!

I just used XWAHacker to go up to 1920 x 1080 and it looks awesome on my 90" projector. Cant wait to upgrade the ships, backdrops etc.

This is a great game that was one of my first PC games. Thanks to everyone for their hard work improving XWA!

I installed manually almost all crafts (didn't install Calamari Cruisers, Space Stations, DTM's Super Backdrops, Asteroids, Weapons & Hangars) and xwa_ddraw_d3d11, and then used XWAHacker to set 1920 x 1080 rezolution. Just finished whole campaign and it worked & looked great (except for occasional crash in hangar at start of mission).
Tested on WIN 7 64x, ATI graphics, XWA GOG.
Thank you for great mods, and can't wait for whole Craft Pack.

How about posting back the old, pre-GOG versions in the meantime? Not everyone is using the GOG version as we own the original game.
