DS, I have rhino 1.1 and 2.0 beta, and I'm a fair hand at NURBS modeling, but I really don't know much about modeling with meshes. I'm trying to make a non-canon MC, and I can't figure out how to avoid triangles and how to seamlessly blend the "bubbles" into the hull, could you help me out?

I'm not sure if this would help, but you could always take apart one of JM's Mon Cals to see how it was built. As far as getting triangles, that only happens if you select three points and then press "enter" before setting the fourth point for a face.

AAAHHHHH! Goddamn OPT->PRJ! Actually Goddamn save as DXF (at least regarding my OPTs). The idea of people dissecting my work makes me feel like my trousers have split and my dubious Y-Fronts are now visible rather than hidden.
Wouldn't be much help since I never got the "bubbles" (WARTS!) to blend seamlessly myself.

I know how to make quads and triangles, but in some cases, I only end up with 3 points to put the 3DFace on. I want to know how to avoid that. And JM, how DID you put the "warts" on?

Thanks, could you point me in the direction of your ftp sever?, or put a link to it right here? I'd also like to know how to put a poing on something, (like the end of an MC like Home One) without having to use triangles on the tip.

maybe you have to creat a sphere and stretch it using it's control points, and for streching an entire side of the sphere use set points, but take notice that I am just theorizing, I haven't even created anything rounded yet. Image

Otana, I already tried that, I still have triangles at the tip.

Ohh and don't bother asking me again if you are going to ask the same question all over the net. It doesn't show alot of confidence in the once you are asking in the first place...
------------------
When in danger, when i doubt.
Run in circles, scream and shout....

Sorry, didn't mean to get on your nerves, it just seemed that nobody was answering it on the other forums.

Ah, the elusive BiosBoy is here at last. Nice to meet you. I really like your V-38. Any chance of anything new from you, in the future?

I've just about finsihed a Rebel Escort Carrier that I have been working on and off for ages, just needs playing with the hardpoints.
I've completed an accurate model of a Star Trek Starbase but it needs texturing which will take me a bit of time. I've also done a good Star Trek Enterprise 1701 but it needs a tiny amount of work to complete, then texturing. The Star Trek opts won't be ready for a while but keep your eyes open for the Rebel Escort. Hey Bios, which RESC do you think is better, yours or the new version of JM's? And don't say yours is better just because it's yours, or we'll have to call you Bias-Boy! Bios Boy's RESC is a bit more accurate and nicer looking to boot.
