XWA Upgrade

The newly released XWAU 2020 Mega Patch contains ALL the previously made XWAU Opts in one place.
So recent releases like the Platform 1, Family Repair Yard, Shipyard, ISD II, VSD II, Gunboat cockpits and all the other good stuff since 2019.
That's not all though! There are also several new ships too that have never been released before now!
So strap in as this will be a long post! Here's a quick look at them:

Calamari Cruiser from DTM
DTM has updated the existing Calamari Cruiser Defiance! It now has new HD textures, new FlightGroup colours and a new Hangar!
If you fly inside the Hangar you can even see ships landed ready to launch inside.


The Hangar is brand new with recessed lifts, walkways and side bays. It takes advantage of all the little Hangar improvements created over this year. So FG colour ships and workstands, replaced Opts etc.


Modified Strike Cruiser from DTM
DTM has used his Strike Cruiser to create the Peregrine from Balance of Power, aka the Rebel Modified Strike Cruiser!
Another of the older Opts from the original games has finally been replaced.


Stormtrooper Transport from ual002
ual002 has added more Flightgroup colours to the Transport so now it has 9 different choices. You will see some of them appear in the campaign hangars and missions.
No marking, White, Purple, Empire Blue, Rebel Red, Star tours, Telgorn Corp green factory Livery, Blue Assault Camo, Black Assault camo.


X-Wing Fighter from Spyder
The default X-Wing is newly created by Spyder. It has amazing textures, a new Dynamic Cockpit and four options to choose from.

XwingA: Azzameen Edition - This is the default version selected but can be changed.
You actually fly as Ace Azzameen with his signature helmet with all the decorations on it too!


It has also has Wedge and Luke Flightgroups which are used in several missions. For example Red 1 is Wedge during the Endor battle.



XwingR: This is Red Group from the Battle of Yavin with it’s famous pilots in each of the Flightgroups.
It has 7 FG choices, standard and Red 1-6 with all their unique X-wing colours.

XwingNR: This is the X-Wing used by the pilots of the New Republic after it’s formation.

Xwing: This is a standard X-Wing with a different pilot with Blue helmet markings and Red, Gold, Green and Blue Flightgroup colours.
You can choose the version you want to use in the options of the Babu Frik Configurator.


Y-Wing Fighter from Spyder

Y-Wing: The Default Y-Wing is newly created by Spyder. It has a new textures and Dynamic Cockpit and two options to choose from.
Ywing: This is a standard Y-Wing with Red, Gold, Green, Blue, and new Grey and Pirate Flightgroup colours!


Ywing ROTJ: This is the same Y-Wing but you get to pilot it in a Flight suit based on the one from Return of the Jedi.
This exterior view of the Pilot is unique to your ship only.
You can choose the version you want to use in the options of the Babu Frik Configurator.


We have tried to use all the cool new FG colours where possible in campaign missions, hangars etc.
So don't be surprised if you find yourself up against a Pirate or two at times!
There's also a Imperial themed Easter Egg included we will let you discover yourself

This doesn't mean we don't have other cool stuff in the works for you! So 2021 will be a great year too I'm sure.

You will have to ask the TFTC guys that.
It's still a long way from ready anyway

When he says a long way, perhaps 2-3 months away long way

TFTC will have its own separate installer that will require the XWAU mega patch. You can then use the new Configurator to swap seamlessly between XWA, TFTC Classic and Reimagined as you like

Oh my Good, and the peregrin, i think a have to make a new LP from balance of Power X Wing Alliance Conversion

I can't be the only one excited for gray Y-wings! It was so cool seeing Red 5 instead of a generic X-wing during the Suprosa mission.

For the X-wing I picked the Azzameen setting, and for the Y-wing I chose the standard with Gray and Pirate groups. If I wanted to mess around with Allied, how would I get Wedge and Luke's X-wing, and the Gray and Pirate Y-wings? Allied only has Red, Gold, Blue and Green options.

I can't even get it to install. I instantly get the following error:
