With the upcoming XWAU Update 5 we have totally remade the pictures you in the Flight Simulator.
We already did most of the interface and now we give you new improved Battle and Mission selection images too!

@Forceflow has spent long hours remaking all 115 images! They have been rendered from the XWAU models with added enhancements.
Here's a comparison of Battle 7 showing the brilliant improvement.

Battle Comparison.jpg

All 3 versions of the images have been replaced, based off the originals or events in the missions.

Medium Comparison.jpg

We hope you will enjoy seeing the images on your replays as much as we do :)
=====================================================================
But that's not all! Now you can add your own custom Battle images for Battles 8-20 or beyond!

The system was enabled by JeremyaFr and has already been used successfully by the TFTC Team.
@Ace Antilles has compiled a new file called FrontEnd2_Battles.dat. It contains template battle images from @Forceflow.

Custom Battle.jpg

These images will only show if you correctly edit your Mission.lst file to add new custom missions. There are templates for many missions and Battles from 8-20.
You can replace the images using the XwaCbmEditor which is part of XwaToolsDownloader found on our Download page.

Medium images are 260x260 in size. Indexes: 15210-54 to 15210-124.
Small images are 100x75 in size. Indexes: 15210-1053 to 15210-1123.
Battle images are 510x260 in size. Indexes: 15210-2008 to 15210-2020.

You can add more images as needed or even create your own custom dat file to use!
If you make cool new images to use maybe you will show us so we can all enjoy them :)
XWAU Update 5 will be out very soon!

Thanks but the credit for the good looks goes to @Forceflow. You can see them all soon :)
I started working on this project area in 2020 and in that time all I got done was 1 battle lol
Force has come in and rendered over 100 images in actually a very quick time with amazing results. So I thank him for that.

@Ace Antilles can you help here? I know you did set it up so that the games uses the generic image I made after the regular campaign.

Most of the information is in the first post.
The images only go up to Battle 20 and are only there as a template.
The idea is you can edit them and replace it with your own.

Use XwaCbmEditor to edit the Resdata\FrontEnd2_Battles.dat file.
Back it up first.
Please read the second part of the first post for some more info on the indexes

The images goes to battle 20 for battle picture, but for the mission pictures how many missions is active and how we can increase them.
I tried to use BinHex2 but the xwingalliance crash after a modification in the section battle/mission (that indicates the number by default)
