No, not the Executor, but be asured, that one's well on its way ;)
Somebody once complained I was making too many big ships - hardly any escorts.
Well, there you go. A few weeks ago I posted first model shots of the Katana (working title).
Here's a first impression in color ;)
BTW, if anyone can think of a better name for it, I'm open for suggestions. Length is about 700m.

That's only a perspective matter, it's nice and sleek, if you check the 'raw' model shots

I like it, I like big ships, small ships. I actually like all the big ships you made and wasn't tierd of them, though being that there is a limited amount of total ships one can have in XWA having too many big ships isn't good for fighters but. It looks great, I don't think it looks to squashed along any axis. And great name for it to. All, except mabey the Venator but its better then I could ever hope to make, are superior and make me love the SD again. They have excelent form of a venator with the tough lookingness of an ISD. :) Can't wait to fly against it, for it, through it(anouther reason I like your ships, lots of hanger space, except the Venator which is suppose to have hanger going down spine but...), between it, below it, any preposition it.

Hm... what's about Protector- or Defender-class?
Or should it be more aggressive? ;)

Katana seems like a name for a larger ship.
Maybe Bodkin or Cutlass

I'm thinking Stiletto class, or some variant... Switchblade maybe?

@ Kell: Most of those names definitely are for something bigger. If you go to the battle threads you'll see Excalibur is taken and its something like 37 times bigger then that thing. The ones in your edit are closer and I do like Hellraiser.
@ DS: Oberon sounds cool, but should go to something big and powerful, maybe a space station even.
@ Omega: Stiletto and Switchblade sound like fighters or maybe corvettes. Stiletto could be a missile.
I think Katana should go to something heavier, I'd go with tanto or wakizashi.

Out of curiosity, why did you decide to go with this design (general similarity in shape to *SD)?
Still, looks like a good model. :)
[ 14 December 2007: Message edited by: General Edor Crespin ]

Just throwing this out there as my personal opinion, Trinity seems too graceful a name.. *shrugs*

i think people identify Trinity from the Matrix now. We could go with some more Roman style names
Sentinel, Crusader, Gladius
to be quite honest, G_T you are probably the best one to find a name... look up words in a Thesaurus

Bob-class intresting. Trinity makes me think though of God, then Matrix, so... Try looking at Latin or Mando'a, alot of shipd are named after latin terms that mean really simple things like Excelcior=higher I believe, and while no one whould say Higher-class they will make an Excelsior-class. Kad-class (Mando'a for sword or saber) sounds nice, though so do Saber-class (I made a saber class SSD which doesn't look much like a SD in LEGO (which I made it in http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/14831 here is link) however its a bassed SD wedge with a hammerhead front and a huge laser on bottom) How about Obi-wan class or Vader-class, or even Omas-class. Solo-class is nice, used that for http://swgames.wikia.com/wiki/SWC:C0:So ... stroyer that one I made. Don't mind if you use any ideas or images shown here either if you need any SD design ideas for whatever one you do next afterwords.
[ 16 December 2007: Message edited by: FellSkyhawk ]

It doesn't have much of the typical SD traits, but seriously, from the looks that Saber-class would make a damn fine heavy fighter or combat yacht. Mind if I go nuts on that design and try to model it?
As for the Solo-class, reminds me of a crossing between a Venator and an Eclipse. Very nice indeed.
Damnit people, when am I supposed to model all that stuff?!? :D
