This is another comic translation like the Warhammer. A star destroyer of about 2.2 km length I lateron replaced with the Phoenix Cruiser in the TBP context.
Edit: The name now stands, kudos to Major Wes Janson for his suggestion: Predator
Updated Shots on the last page

Here the references ... geeze, I can't believe I ever drew that....

[ 16 July 2007: Message edited by: General_Trageton ]

Kinda remides me of the victory somehow (Though the bridge structure looks more like it came off the intredictor, and it has a feature that gripes me in its lacking on other star destroyers, mainly it having venteral main guns), perhaps this is the star cruiser or star battlecruiser to the victory star destroyer? (But I know that does not help with the name)
[ 01 May 2007: Message edited by: tiepilottillard1701 ]

I prefer Arbitor or Decimator, mainly becouse they keep with the -or naiming convention of the other large star type warships.
[ 01 May 2007: Message edited by: tiepilottillard1701 ]

I think it needs to be something similar to the Phoenix, something from which the phoenix can "rise from the ashes", as an example something like Firebird.
As for the model, looks very good indeed, but I suppose we've all just come to expect that from such a master!

Awesome model GT!
Well my suggestions due to the numerous laser batteries it has I would go for ....Reaper or ....Illuminator (from the amount of light it generates when firing .... ....Destructor...Berserker....and finally Devastator

Or Raptor, but that might be a better fighter class name. Though I am right in asuming this class ship is smaller then your average SD? Personaly I still like Arbitor. What is the origional perpous for the ship? If it was as a strike force ship then Preditor might be a good name. But if it is for establishing a millitary pressence in the worlds aginst pirates, warloards, and maintaing order, then Arbitor would be a good name.
Or better yet, perhaps both? Perhapse Prediter could be the retrofit of a piece time ship Arbitor, and represents when governments had seen better days. You did say that this ship was supose to be replaced by other ships in the fleet?
]
[ 02 May 2007: Message edited by: darklord ]

There is already a Raptor-Class Frigate used by the UPMF.
With 'replaced by the Phoenix' I didn't mean in history, but in fact I replaced the ship in the story context, as it was supposed to be non-SW.
However, since the factions ESS and the such are now intertwining with Alternative-Universe-Star Wars factions like the Corellian Empire, I thought it would be only justified to revive those old designs. After all, the ESS and Corellian made quite some collaborations and it wouldn't be improbable that the ESS adopted some of the designs, given their almost optimal firing arc....
From a historical POV the Predator/Arbiter would have entered service somewhat 20 years after the Phoenix Cruiser.

Going along that theme - Prometheus?
Though I think Predator has it TBH. I do love the ship though, I also really like the renders you did. Even without textures, it looks complete. I guess that's what I really like about your models, Vince. And while I'm at it, those drawings ain't half bad either

It doesent matter, they look like they came from different eras anyway (this one looks like it is a contemporary star cruiser or star battlecruiser to the victory class, and the Phenoix looks like it could be the class of ship the alegiance star cruiser from dark empire belonged to).
