Sweet. Now I just have to decide which fighter in the UCP to replace with this beauty. I just don't know...
Vince, a question: I remember you showing a fighter similar to this a long time ago. It was virtually the same shape and colour but only had the one pair of engines, and the wings were flat rather than curved. It was textured and rendered but not on XWA, in some CAD program.
What was that? The victory MK 1?
End of line...

Exactly. It was a VERRRY old model (3DM) from a time when I actually had no idea on DXF modelling or texturing. The hull was actually just black with a high reflection value. However, that render pic finally led to the way I designed the textures.
I still have the pic, but lost the model due to a fatal HD crash. I can load it up later today

Wow, that new cockpit is a true work of art. Simple and elegant at the same time, and none of that ridiculous multicoloring that plagues so many cockpits. Two thumbs way up for that!

I said no ridiculous multicoloring. Yours is pretty tasteful. Personally, I think most of the XWAU cockpits suffer from that, particularly the TIE's. I just don't like it when you have bright green, yellow, red and/or blue panels all right next to each other. I find your somewhat subdued colors much mor appealing.

I don't agree, thats the Star Wars way, if we start playing to those sorts of tastes the XWAU will end up like EPI.
Greet work Vince!

I'm not saying they're bad, they're well done, just not quite to my taste. I'd still use them of course.

the cockpit view is quite impressive - very good work Vince.
To the Imperial and Rebel cockpits I have to say they look very similar to the movies and that counts!

You do realise that the forum gives the number of replies, not posts, right? So it would never count the first post of a topic since that is the topic.
Anywhoo...
Yes, Vince that is the fighter I was talking about. I remember thinking when you first showed off the MK2 that it must be a heavier version since it had more engines.
End of line...
