While working on a certain ship's hangar section, which I will not mention here any further ( ), I suddenly had some design ideas which I find myself forced to build. Well, I think I have my bright moments sometimes ...
Anyway, meet the Seraphim (early name draft: Erebus)
This legendary destroyer is said to be the personal destroyer of Mryna Qhalic, the Emperor's hand of the Seven Suns. It is a unique ship that Empress Shiromy discovered in the dark mists of the Bermuda passage. She offered the ship as a gift to Mryna, at that time Chief of ESS security, along with a position as supreme chief of ESS intelligence and special operations - the Empress' Hand.
The events that had taken place in the Bermuda Passage and that had led to Mryna's extraordinary promotion, have never been resolved, as has pretty much every bit of information regarding the Hand's ghostly ship. Although information provided by alleged eye whitnesses greatly differ, some bits of information seem to match those of a darkly, spear-shaped ship, maybe half a mile in length. One thing though, which unites all statements is word of its devastating firepower. Rumor has it that, along with this ship of darkness and shadows there might be a counterpart, a ship of brilliant light....
On a design note: This for once is no uber-ship like the ones I usually come up with but should rather go with its aggressive design. I've blurred and darkenend the pics intentionally, to give an idea on how I would imagine the ship to appear in space. The hull might look something like dark crome or somthing - not as glossy as the Leviathan from KotOR though.

Has a real DDX feel to it. I like it.

OK, guess I chose the words unluckily. I 'received' a question regarding the armament, since the shots wouldn't show the turrets on the lower side, making the whole ship a bit under-gunned.

I'm single
btw, here's a more 'scenic' shot. Don't be fooled, I just replaced the ugly default texture with something generic for this shot

Excellent work (once again!) and great looking!
Can You tell us, how large this ship is? Thanks.

Not that big in fact, around 850 meters long. Size Comparison
Nonetheless it is pretty heavily armed. Power- and shield-wise I see it somewhere near the Valiant or a Phoenix Cruiser, which are both far bigger.

GT, your work is magnificent. Hopefully someday, someone will take notice of your skills and you can do this kind of stuff for a living. ^_^b
