Beautiful. Not sure about the engine glow color though. I wonder if a white-yellow, white-orange, or white-red color would look better?

Still, it's never looked so good.

As usual makes my recent work look like crap. Looks great GT.

Alright, I did some test-runs with the current stage, to see how it performs.

It maybe only 830 meters long but it packs a massive punch, if positioned well.

The lower part of the ship is far more poweful than the upper side. If attacking from above she can easily take out a Providence-class.
I had two of them battle each other, again the one located above the other won.

So far here's the test results:
Seraphim vs. 8x6 kamikaze Ferryboat liners @ 3km: 1:0
Seraphim vs. 8x6 LT3000 Yachts @ 3km: 1:0
Seraphim vs. Munificent FRG @ 2 km: 1:0
Seraphim vs. Providence @ 1km: 1:0
Seraphim vs. Inferno II @ 1km: 0:1
Seraphim vs. Seraphim @ 1km: 1:0

if its more powerfull from the bottom, it should be a nasty surprise to most of the attackers (as most capital ships have more weapons on the top than the bottom, often only keepings defensive weapons on the bottom)

but still. i wonder....what the result would be against an SSD?

Well since an Inferno II bested it, I'd say the result would be pretty obvious.

I'd give the Seraphim 20 seconds.

Actually more like 500 meters. there are some windows that are not lit and the angle of the picture doesn't really capture it's size.
And if I don't include the turrets which are more than 2000 meshes, somewhere close to 10000 faces, I'll fave the thing opted and ready for testing in about 1 hour.

I went into great detail at first for those turrets and when you figure that there are 20 turrets, 16 of which have 8 barrels and the last 4 are quads. yeah the face count gets up there. :P
I have another version where all the turrets are very bland and have only 2 barrels each.

Hi Mako, Hi General,

I am waiting for both Seraphin and Solace. They look both great!

Image

By the way. The Recusant Class Destroyer also lacks firepower at the topside. Nearly all guns are placed at the bottomside. These two Recusants belong to the same division (they just wasted a shipyard), otherwise the lower one would be in trouble (I have not found out a way to roll a starship to the side for better fire arc in Allied and XvtED). ;)

EDIT removed some errors. :motz:

OK, I finally started work on the campaign again.

There is one mission entitled 'Pitch Black', which'll feature a mysterious discovery.... XD

Note: This is not photoshopped apart from cutting off some superfluous empty areas to get that sweet 16:9 feel :)
