IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYER V2 – Work in Progress - By Driftwood and General Trageton.
This is an early look at the ISD2 that Driftwood created. It’s not ready for release yet.
Right now it’s being built in the Kuat Drive Yards. It needs more fine tuning as it’s so amazing looking it would blow your XWA game apart right now! The level of detail on it is brilliant.
We will prevail in stomping out the traitorous Rebellion. on too. Happy Revenge of the Fifth!

Yes! Finally! I've been personally hoping to see this for quite some time. I may have to stop my current play-through now.

The plan is to finish ships before going back and remaking lots of old ones Couldn't tell you right now though, one step at a time.

Looks like one of the early renders as there are some details missing from what is on the current version. If so the AO is generated by Opt Editor's view window I think.
If not then either it's baked in already.
I'm not working on this alone, DTM is pretty heavily involved with it thus far so he deserves credit too. I'd say me having"created" is less accurate than me "retrofitting" defunct assets.
If we can work through the technical issues to an initial release, I would expect additional features to come at a later date.

The level of detail looks adequate, but I don't remember the 3 main engines of the Imperial II Star Destroyer being cones.

Well this looks like it's shaping up very nicely.
Can't wait to see more.

They shouldn't have those baffles in the engines, however. That's a feature of the ISD-I.

The ISDII engines are definitely cones. This is a shot of the Avenger filming model.Phoenix Leader wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 7:45 amThe level of detail looks adequate, but I don't remember the 3 main engines of the Imperial II Star Destroyer being cones.

The 3 main engines of the Imperial II Star Destroyer Avenger are ellipsoids inside cylinders, judging from the film model. Will T wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 8:57 amWell this looks like it's shaping up very nicely.

I don't judge tactics. The Battle is the best and only Judge.

And the final part of a main engine is cylindrical protruding out of the ellipsoid.

Very nice. That looks a lot better. The SWG version is designed more around the ISD-I "Devastator" model, although Matt's version still more accurate to movies, texture wise, and his has the Ion Cannon battery meshes at back end of the ship. I'm not sure in the RogueOne movie if that detail was changed.

Again, don't want to sound like a broken record, but if you do a set of skins for the different factions, I highly recommend a battered version like the recent victory release. It looked fantastic, and helps for immersion of user made missions sometimes.
Otherwise the model looks fantastic and I am really looking forward to it.

I look forward to blowing those up from my X-Wing. The better they look the more enjoyable to destroy.
