Embers of The Empire - Project

Hello all! So I've been working on project for quite some time now for XWA. It's an Empire-sided campaign consisting of 15 or 16 battles of 4-6 missions each. The story takes place 21 years ABY and is a continuation of the Timothy Zahn story that started with the Heir to the Empire book and ended with Vision of the Future. The story starts off a few months after the Pellaeon-Gavrisom peace treaty (for those that might be familiar with the story).

NOTE* Knowledge of the events in the Expanded Universe is not necessary to keep up with the main story line.

The story respects the entire Expanded Universe (Legends) and mentions characters, ships, locations and events from a wide range of books and games, including Rebel Assault (I and II), TF, X-Wing, XWA, Battlegrounds, Shadows of the Empire, etc.

I have incorporated many different ships into the campaign, (thanks and credits to the individual contributors will be included of course), and all new backdrops for every single mission.

I have been getting help from the amazing TFTC team as well, in troubleshooting, some voice acting and testing to deliver a fully immersive, complete campaign for you all!

STATUS:

At the moment, I have fully completed 8 battles which are undergoing testing. (If anyone here is interested in participating in testing please let me know! I am in need of more testers). I am working with DTM to deliver an installer hopefully by late this year for at least half of the campaign.

I am very Happy it is a very wonderful time for all of us! Past 5 years the update for xwing alliance was poor. I wait for a new TFTC since soo long time. And now we have TFTC, XWVM, Star wars squadron, Blue max effect, dynamic cockpit and now a new campaign !! it is unexpected Thanks too all the creator ; ) I am very impatient too test your campaign with a real scenario! (i must reead this book).

Nope, this is all completely new story. Written to start after the peace treaty, yes, but it will not lead to the Vong. It respects everything prior to this point, but not after lol.

I can't wait to try this new adventure!
I take this opportunity for a little preview. In a few days the new Mega Patch of the XWAU will be released. Something completely new, containing a lot of things we didn't want to talk about, so as not to spoil the surprise (or not to disappoint your expectations in case we fail to achieve some goal).

One of the innovations concerns a new tool that will be integrated into the new Mega Patch. This is a very simple interface that will allow you to manage multiple customized versions of the XWA game, using a single installation. No more multiple installations! Of course, you will not be forced to use it...but if you want to take advantage of this tool, the new XWA Upgraded can become a sort of "Nexus", which collects multiple versions of the game in a single installation. This involves a considerable saving of space in the Hard Disk and a single management of Hooks, special effects and all graphic expansions.

I could immediately explain how it works, but I won't, because this topic is dedicated to "Embers of The Empire", and I apologize to labc133 for this little degression. It was necessary to say that the "Embers of The Empire" installer will take advantage of this new feature of the XWA Upgraded. And as you can imagine, other projects may also follow the same path. I have been enjoying it so far, but its well crafted enough I have to sit down and take it seriously, unlike say squadrons or something that. This is content that is familiar and immersive over what Disney gave us in the squadrons story, which isn't bad. But not as thoughtful.
