stuck on steam " X Wing Alliance waiting"

Hi there have a problem when trying to run the game in VR. I have installed all the updates etc... i run Steam VR first and then the game - all good so far as the games menus appear on my quest and i can navigate through them no issues. but when i go to start any mission (single or skirmish) the loading screen appears as normal but when the game switchs into the level itself its just shows the steam loading page "x-wing alliance waiting" - i can see the game running fine in my monitor but just sitting as this on my quest. any ideas on how to fix it? ( i have both steam and gog versions and have installed both (not at the same time) but same issue with each version)

Hello @papalasarou ,

That happens when the game is not sending frames to the headset.

What is your VR headset?
Ddraw.dll version? (default from XWAU 5.5? TFTC? Latest beta?)
Does the headtracking work? (The camera follows the headset orientation)
How did you enable VR, with babu frik?

Sometimes this error can be fixed by Alt-Tabbing into the XWA window. In other words, make sure the XWA window is focused.
